Alabama Fans Were Pretty Disappointing This Past Weekend

Gumps,

I was pretty disappointed with y'all's fanbase this weekend in CS. While they were pretty tame, the amount that traveled was pretty underwhelming. The amount of Bama fans in CS really didn't even compare to a fan base like Nebraska in 2010.

With this being the Game of the Century and your biggest game of the year, we were led to believe your fans would show up in droves. Did the high price point of the tickets eliminate a large portion of your fans that might have normally attended? What gives?

Maybe we have different definitions of traveling well, but there were at least 10,000 Bama fans at Kyle and another couple thousand who didn't have tickets but tailgated. They brought more fans to Kyle than anyone but Texas, including the POS trashy LSU fans that showed up last year and acted like they owned the place.

Biggest game in your school history and we didn't travel well?

Idk much, but sometimes the ticket sales are limited to the opposing teams' fans.

We would fill 40-60k on average at an away game i would imagine, if there were enough seats. but that's my uneducated opinion on the matter.

we have one of the best traveling fan bases in the nation, AND fan bases PERIOD for that matter.

That wasn't the only thing you were disappointed in last weekend.

College Station is an abortion of a town. I'd rather visit any other SEC town honestly

Well that's not surprising, I just expected more. Nebraska would rent out bars and full parking lots on Northgate with live music. With all the hype about Bama fans taking over it was pretty underwhelming. They were just another fan base with a few more in attendance than the others.

This thread isn't about how classy A&M fans or Bama fans are either.

Of the last 4 games Alabama has played, this was the 3rd most important. Obviously UGA and ND were bigger. The main reason though is that you only allotted us 6k tickets.

Are LSU fans just that upset over the fact that nobody ever compliments them on their class?

Right. I figured it was that you couldn't afford the secondary market tickets, I was just curious.
