Everyone knows Missouri BBQ is the best in the nation, just ahead of Texas BBQ.
If you consider beef to be BBQ then you are 2nd to Texas. Texas knows beef better than Missouri.
When it comes down to real BBQ then it is Memphis>>>Carolina>>>Texas>>>KansasCity.
I've said it once and I'll say it one more time: There is a reason that "whole hog" is considered the big prize in BBQ competitions.

Sim's Bar-B-Que in Little Rock gets my vote.

True that. I ate in Memphis for the ole miss game last year. Couldn't even eat the pulled pork it was so soaked in brown sugar. It's no wonder heart disease is so prevalent. The ribs were good though still covered in brown sugar.
Give me some brisket smoked low and slow and some ribs over mesquite then apple or pecan. Heaven right there.

Sims is good. Central Ark. has a ton of good BBQ joints.

What is this "BBQ" you speak of?
Is it anything like a cochon de lait...?
We have no problems cooking meat down here in Louisiana.

I love Memphis BBQ too, but KC BBQ is no joke. I'm guessing all the ranters who are going to rip KC BBQ have never had it. (KC Masterpiece sauce doesn't count)

McClards: Hot Springs
Craigs: DeValls Bluff
Rivertown BBQ: Ozark (River valley, close enough for inclusion)
I was pretty impressed with Smoke Shack BBQ in Maumelle last time I went too

Name a place, I've been there. They are all too sweet. Not to mention the places are all so "fake" inside
Only place I'd go back is BB Lawnside in the KC 'hood

You didn't eat Memphis BBQ. The pulled pork and dry rubbed ribs are not soaked in brown sugar. I use some brown sugar in my rub but you cant taste it after 10 hour in the smoker.

Arkansas BBQ doesn't exist. Shouldn't even be in the discussion since it doesn't exist.
Pappy's BBQ in Springfield, MO was recently ranked in the top 5 best barbeque joints in the entire country.
Nuff said.

I know you're trolling but you should take a look at a map and realize that Arkansas has the best variation of BBQ in the country. Its mostly dominated by Memphis style BBQ but has some Texas and KC influences in the SW and NW parts of the state.

You can't knock Missouri style pork ribs lightly basted in our famous Missouri mayo/peppercorn sauce unless you've tried them.
World famous.
Arkansas BBQ...not world famous.
GTFO!

BBQ is pork, therefore Texas is disqualified.

Dang Texans trying to impose their southwestern version of barbeque on the SEC. This ain't the Big 12/SWC and barbeque ain't beef.
Don't get me wrong -- it's tasty; it's just not barbeque.

My dad has lived in KC for the past 6 years and I've had my share of KC BBQ.
I'll honestly say that my favorite is Jack Stack's. I have gone in there and murdered a full rack w sides several times.
Arthur Bryant's was good and I loved their selection of sauces but I'll still take Jack Stack's.
