LSU wins big
AU wins big
close game by either
For each of the outcomes, what will be the reasoning of each happening?

I think you covered any possible outcome. Vegas odds makers say LSU by 16.

I see four scenarios, two are lumped together.

LSU wins, can't say if it will be big or not. I thought TCU would be a wider margin than it was.

LSU wins big: LSU is just that much more talented than AU. LSU's offense is humming and perhaps the AU defense doesn't have the horses to slow it down, while the LSU defense is able to overcome its inexperience to thwart an AU attack that still is rounding into form.
AU wins big: The LSU defense is a step behind where it's been and the concerns highlighted by the first 3 games prove legitimate deficiencies against SEC talent. Meanwhile the LSU offense has only been powerful in weeks 1 - 3 because of inferior competition, and it still exhibits some of the same issues that attenuated it the previous few years. AU's defense proves better than expected and up to the challenge.
Close either way: LSU proves to be more talented, but turnovers and red zone inefficiency inhibits a blowout, even if LSU still manages to come away with the win. Conversely, AU manages to win a hard fought battle as LSU's offensive inefficiency leads to a sloppy game where AU takes advantage of all its opporunities.

I'm thinking LSU wins comfortably and if they win big everyone will probably say it was expected. But if AU wins big or if it's a close game. Will it be AU is now a world beater and possible NC contender? Or will it be LSU wasn't quite as good as thought?

Why isn't College Gameday going to be there?

but for the reason of this discussion the outcome of a close game has no bearing regardless of who won.

North Dakota is the next powerhouse team. Already been to the SEC games a couple of times I believe.

No way will AU be considered NC contender. I'd like to believe that but not realistic this season. I think most people will believe since LSU hasn't played a really tough opponent yet, that they haven't figured out deficiencies.
I think if AU comes out and plays with the pace like we did against MSU in the first few drives, we might be able to catch a young D off balance and get some momentum going that leads to a close game or an AU win. Don't want to think of the scenarios of us getting blown out in BR.

quote:Auburn is no where near a world beater or NC contenders even if they were to beat them big. It would be LSU isn't as good as thought. Auburn has the best offense LSU will have faced but the only real advantage Auburn has is that everyone expects LSU to win and all the pressure is on them.

Three possible outcomes.
1. LSU beats the shite out of them and shuts them out.
2. LSU beats the shite out of them and auburn scores a few points.
3. LSU wins but wins ugly, to no real credit of Auburn.
I know that looks full of hate, but that's my real opinion.
