The A&M fans that I know are disappointed that their team lost, but they have the attitude of "We lost, but we rung up a lot of yards on the defending Champs, and we gave them a hell of a game."

LSU fans would never have that attitude. We don't care how many yards we put up against Bama. We don't care how good the game was. We only care about the outcome. There are no moral victories for LSU. Bama fans are the same. It's National Championship or bust.

The Aggies are happy to be in the SEC, and they are happy that they finally have something to cheer for after many years of mediocrity, but they are a little too satisfied with playing a good game. That's what makes them feel like little brother instead of one of the big boys.

I know it sucks to read it, but it's true, right?

their season isn't over yet.

they have a cupcake schedule like bama does, so they'll remain in good spirits unlike LSU fans after a bama loss.

They should beat everyone on their schedule but have a tough game against LSU

So I should be dissapointed with going toe to toe against the 2 time defending national champs 4 years removed from a 4-8 season where we were blown out by 50+ points numerous times.

I agree with you except the sucks to read part.

When we win a national title and make it the Big 7, maybe then we can bitch when we don't win every game.

Until then we will take being able to hold our heads up around our state for the first time in a decade.

That's exactly the attitude that I have witnessed from LSU.

I know toe-to-toe is the meme du jour but A&M never took a single snap in the entire second half down by less than a touchdown.

Maybe somewhat, but it is a process. If Texas A&M continues to compete like they are their expectations and reactions to close losses will change. They will start to have the same attitude as the so called "big boys." Every program goes through this. I can remember trying to find moral victories in Alabama games not too long ago. Now, it doesn't even cross my mind to take any positive from a loss. I'm sure LSU fans can remember the same shift for their program and expectations if they look back and are honest.

I have come to realize LSU has the most insecure fans in the SEC.

The difference is, your fanbase is trash, and our fanbase is not trash. I know it sucks to read, but it's true, right?

So what you're saying is...

LSU doesn't have moral victories as well as real victories.

A reasonable post?

Exactly. A&M are the queens of moral victories; they never really bought into the myth they would play for championships - thus being competitive against a top team is enough to keep a smile on their face.
