Nice try, Aggies, but that game sucked

First off, I'd like to congratulate the Aggies on a hard fought loss. That offense is really good. I never thought you'd score that many points. And that brings me to my next point; my Alabama mindset will not allow me to enjoy any game where the opposition is moving the ball at will.

It was disgusting. It's pretty obvious that our CB's can't cover Evans one on one. He's too fricking big. I think Saban's defense for this game is a good idea in theory, but on the field, maybe not so much. If we'd had a big, shut down corner, maybe.

After all is said and done, I really think it would have been better just to go after Manziel on every play. He might escape, but if they're scoring on every drive anyway, I don't see much difference.

I think LSU might match up a little better against A&M, although, admittedly, I don't know much about their CB's this year.

Also, as bad as our defense looked in that game, A&M's was 10 times worse.

I'm not saying Bama's defense will be bad against the rest of the SEC. It was just a gameplan that didn't really work.

Good game anyways, though

Going after Manziel just turns all those passing yards into rushing yards. Then you're double fricked because they still score big and chew up more clock doing so.

If aTm had even a mediocre defense, then all the bammers would be calling into Finbaum crying about the loss.

I was set to wear my flame retardant clothing up in here with that title...

Good game.

We need to find some form of a defense quickly.

I'm predicting a 5 hour game against Ole Miss. It will be nothing but a track meet.

Game plan is to run the ball and chew clock. U have to score regardless. Rather give them less time than more obviously. That should be the gameplan.

So, the score is just lower. I'm all for it.

But, I think one problem is, the only guys we sent after him weren't fast enough to catch him.

you can't chew much clock against our defense right now when you are averaging close to 8 yds/carry. You score some points too quickly.

...and then out comes our offense.

It's 7 am and I still need a drink.

I wouldn't try too hard to convince us. We'll just take him too, if we decide we want him.

Have to agree with some of your analysis. Not to adjust with a double team on Evan's was almost unforgivable. Bama's defensive staff showed the same stubbornness Bama offense coaches showed during the VT game. If LSU has their usually great athletic DL, it will allow for better stratgy in the secondary -vs- A&M.

Welcome to the new style of college football. You should probably get used to more 400+ yard games.

If LSU still has that speed in their front 7 they will be the toughest matchup. I don't know if they have that speed; I've only seen bits of the LSU/TCU game.

I'll say it then, Bama's defense will be bad against the rest of the SEC.
