My thoughts on Arkansas after seeing them for a half.

- Alex Collins is a beast.
- Arkansas's offensive line is average. Will get humbled in SEC play.
- Arkansas's defensive line is pretty solid. Probably top 4 SEC unit.
- Arkansas fans have reason to be optimistic, but I don't see any way for them competing with the top 4 of the West this year (A&M, LSU, Bama, OM). They could possibly get to 6, but I think that's the ceiling.

IMO Arkansas has to beat Rutgers to get to a bowl.

is this prior to Allen getting hurt or after? we weren't gonna be that good this year but without him we are in big trouble.

Dude their starting QB got injured and their backup was a Line backer a Iowa I believe lol. They looked good before that

Possibly, but we'll finish above them in the West because they'll be too inconsistent, especially on the road.

The only thing that is nice to see today from a Hog perspective is how often the announcers are using
'Redshirt freshman with the deflection', 'True freshman with the big play on 3rd down'. Yeah, there is a lot of work to do. The defense is proceeding apace of what it needs to do, to be around the SEC average -- last year, it was the worst in the league that didn't suit up for Auburn.
This team has to have its quarterback, though. We're even thinner there than at linebacker.

we will lose any conference game that Brandon Allen doesn't play. our backups are that bad/inexperienced

They're playing a C-USA team on a 14 game losing streak. Lets not get ahead of ourselves.

I personally don't think you can make a fair assessment of Arkansas football overall. Maybe after 2-3 SEC games. I feel the same about Auburn and UT.

We won't win anymore games without Allen. Our backup is a walk on transfer who played linebacker at Iowa
