I know they went into Bama last year and won the game, largely due to several turnovers that are atypical for Bama but I really don't see that happening again.

aTm also beat a way overrated OK in the Cotton Bowl.

Are these the reasons why?

If so, it seams to be a lot of love considering aTm's losses and close games last year and their defensive struggles this year.

Is there something I am missing?

Bama lost alot on the OL, didn't look very sharp against VT. And it's at home for atm.

Bama is still the favorite by more than a touchdown, so what exactly is upsetting you?

I don't have a problem with it. I just was hoping for some insight as to why there was so much hype for a team that really hasn't accomplished all that much.

He said it was "there like russia", so I assume he meant northern Asia.

Honest answer?

Because it is newsworthy and gets ratings. Because making johnny look bad = ratings. It is the story that the country wants to hear. It is unfair to the rest of CFB, but it is what sells at the moment.

In 5 months, it will be about something else.

Hype. And shiny new things tend be media darlings. From a media standpoint it's also pretty darn boring to take a look at Bama and talk about yet another title (big whoop as it's become so expected).

Because:
TAMU exceeded every ones expectations last season. TAMU fans believe they are an elite SEC powerhouse.
TAMU fans believe their program started in 2012 and easily forget how they were a "rent-a-win" team of the B12.

In other words, they are a lot like LSU fans after the arrival of CNS.

VTs defense is better than A&Ms (not to mention we were up 3 TDs really early from special teams and defense scores) and A&M loses last year were at home (and our loses the last couple years were at home). I definitely think A&M can win...... they have the most dynamic player in the country on offense. But we'll be ready on defense. The real unknown is the Bama offense versus the Aggie defense. Neither one has looked good or shown anything.
