What are the top 3 Worst SEC Coaching Hires the Past 10 years?

This should not be measured just by wins and losses. This should also be measured in how a programmed was damaged from the tenure of the coach.
1) Lane Kiffin, never seen SEC students riot over a coach leaving
2) Houston Nutt, Ole Miss, at least he got a few more million $'s
3) John L Smith, Arkansas*, It was all down hill after the intro
*Temporary hire, I think, everything went wrong including his personal finances

Not bad in the Win/Loss, it's what happen after his first year. He inherited a pretty darn good team and could not build on it.

Muschamp is better than all of Akansas's hires since they joined the SEC combined. BB will be lucky to win 8 games consistently now that he actually has to coach against great teams.

i disagree with OP. kiffin was a great hire, but no one foresaw what a scumbag he would turn out to be.

I first put Orgeron and then took him off because he left Houston Nutt a darn good team. Orgeron could recruit, just couldn't coach. Nutt was a better coach but could not recruit.

I wouldn't include JLS... the circumstances forced the hire. If you include JLS, you gott include that moron who took over for Bobby Johnson in 2009... total trainwreck.

Dude, how can you say this. Look at the problems Kiffin left behind, the NCCA investigations, the thugs he recruited, etc. UT hired Derek Dooley because of the mess Kiffin left, in other words you got Dooley because of Kiffin.

Thought about him, but he was a really good guy and coach who never had the chance to be a head coach. They gave him his chance and after Johnson's resignation just before the season started with no other coach to turn to. Worked out great for Vandy to get Franklin. Comparing similar circumstances to Arkansas hiring John L Smith, Vandy's hire was better.
