ESPN's latest story line that Clowney sucks is ridiculous.

It is amazing to me how this network with all of these real stories to report and legitimate things to analyze keep creating story lines that are flat out not true.
Last week it was JFF disrespected his coach by walking by him while getting ripped. Totally false yet reported by numerous in studio hosts and every radio broadcaster on ESPN.
This week, the storyline is Clowney had a bad game...and he sucks...never mind that he had a sack, numerous QB pressures, and was accounted for every play. To give "evidence" to this, ESPN blamed him for flushing the QB out of the pocket on a long pass (first I've ever seen that) and then posted meaningless stats about the % of plays he was in for and how many yds GA avg on those plays...since no one has ever posted those stats before who knows the significance?
This is very unethical and flat out wrong...and it makes me sick.

Don't know or care anything about ESPNs agenda, but it seems Clowney might have become a but of a diva in the off season.

ESPN is a business. They report the news AND call the games. They're #1 objective is to get you to tune in to THEIR broadcasts (not Fox, not NBC, not CBS). Right now, they are in control of showing the games JFF and Clowney are in, so they will bend the truth and use their endless list of "experts" and "analysts" to influence their viewership.
Last night, Musberger's intro into the ND-Michigan game was full of shite. Those two teams didn't start playing with any sort of regularity until 1985. But the way ESPN has been selling it to you, you'd think the "rivalry" is right up there with UGA-Auburn as one of the oldest in the country.

Clowney is good but IMO he was slightly over hyped. Not saying he's not good but the way ESPN talked him up all off season it's hard to live up to that hype and hell the guy's playing damn near every down on defense.
IMO Spurrier should have played him like he did in the UNC game where he moved him to several different positions.
Not sure it would have mattered as I think Murray and UGA's better and deeper with talent at every position except for Clowney's position at DE.
FWIW I had UGA winning this game with or without Clowney.

I never cared about the off season JFF crap...but it pissed me off how they reported his lack of respect to his coach because it was untrue...

And you say bashing as it wasn't the truth.
Brah even your own fan base knows it was all true or at least they come on here and proclaim it..
Go spew out your jizz somewhere else because you're barking up the wrong tree here brah...

Oh please, cry me a river.
The guy is on pace for 6 sacks this season. He has sucked. He spent the preseason talking about how the quarterback that just gutted his team was scared of him.
He deserves to eat some humble pie. It's obvious from his post-game press conference that he still doesn't get it. He blamed his coaches saying he is very frustrated and told his coaches to put him somewhere else on the field. That attitude tells you all you need to know.

They find someone to hype to get us interested, and then tear him back down to keep us interested....over and over and over.
Simple formula dictated by the new culture of business - get more and more and suck every ounce out of an opportunity then move to something else. Long term is irrelevant. Show constant short term increase in profits until you find somewhere else to put your money.

Clowney was way overhyped, but that wasn't his fault. He makes the opposing team change what they are doing to account for him on every play... can't give a DLineman higher praise than that. That's also when him winning the Heisman was never going to happen.

Congrats on letting ESPN's breathless reporting on every little thing Johnny does shape your opinion.
