Hill messed around with a freshman when he was a senior in high school...actual charge was Carnal knowledge of a minor.
Then, while still on probation, sucker-punched a guy outside a bar after a fight.
The Hill situation has been way overblown.

I actually agree that the Hill situation has been overblown. I started this for the mouth breathers (that's code for Auburn fans) who love to discuss how UGA is the thug school. The reason you hear so much about UGA discipline problems is because they carry harsh minimum suspensions.

There is a reason there are laws that were broken. Say what you want, but I guarantee if any ol guy would have done what he did, 95% of everyone would be calling him a thug POS and deserves to serve time.

I fricked a freshman when I was a senior in highschool. She was a slut though. I got in a couple bar fights in college too.
Never got arrested though. Good times.

He may very well be a thug POS, but screwing around with a freshman white girl (when the "criminal" is also a HS student) is not a big deal. He did nothing wrong IMO, and the legal system gave him a minor punishment, because it was a minor "crime." What sucked is that whole silly situation prevented him from going to LSU for a whole year after he graduated HS.
Personally, that whole situation was silly. I was more pissed about the fight....he definitely did wrong there and got a 1-game suspension, which was warranted.

How is that harsh punishment working out? Relative to effectiveness. Because that is ultimately the end goal.
