Tim Brando announced on his radio show- again- that he believes Alabama has major issues and will lose to Manziel-led A&M a week from Saturday.

I think Bama does have a few issues that may cost them dearly, this season. But that A&M defense looked like it was made of bed sheets against Rice....I guess we'll find out which weakness wins out.

Oh yeah, Bama has major issues and A&M is just a total powerhouse, and the 500+ yards against DeVry was just a fluke.

Ratings will soar and Bammers will flood his phone lines. Brando is the anti-F Bomb.

Alabama played poorly with their starters on offense. We played poorly with half our starters missing.

Either way, I dont think the first game of either team is really a great indicator of performance when you are starting a bunch of new guys.
Could be wrong.

i don't care if it was your starters or your 3rd string. you gave up 300 yards rushing to Rice University.

Name another top 10 team that would let that happen.

It is strength on strength and weakness on weakness. Defense wins championships. I think 'Bama is better off with a weak O and a strong D than aTm is with the inverse.

I would have been much more concerned if Brando had picked Bama to win.

Brando and Skip Bayless carry about the same amount of respect from folks in the sports profession. They're jokes.

Look at Rice's numbers, in the second half, once a few of the ATM starters were actually playing defense. I believe Bama having an open date hurts them more than helps them. ATM will get Sam Houston, so they actually get to work the kinks out in a real game while Bama gets to practice against themselves for another week. That being said, Bama should roll ATM.

Wasn't exactly a bad pick. Game easily could have gone either way and 'Bama got a nice play off at the last minute.

Against that Rice team, I could see Ohio State, Oregon or Louisville doing it.
