He might be a hell of a recruiter and yall still have Pendry but that was the worst Bama O-Line performance in a very long time considering how terrible the opponent was.

I am not saying yall do not have time to fix it or that your O-Line sucks so don't come at me bro. I am just pointing out that if you played a team that had a pulse this week that you would have been in major trouble and he better get that fixed or there is no way that you will repeat.

To be fair VT returns a lot from a front seven that was sixth in the country in TFL last year.

That means you know I am right. Again, you only play two good teams the rest of the year and A&Ms D-Line is laughable so you do not have to worry there. A ton of time to get it fixed before the LSU game.

Dude you serious? Thats like when A&M fans were saying Rice is legit.

You should have manhandled that extremely smaller line and yall didn't. Not only that but the blitz scheme gave yall fits when there is no way it should have.

For the last time, I am not hating ot trolling. Just posting what I saw considering I watched your entire game. Your O was atrocious for the most part mainly because of your line.

Yeah, the Shula era trained me very well on how to handle a loss.

That defensive end went bananas on the right end. That line seriously was tough. There's no way that was all the offensive line. They were blitzing like crazy

Virginia Tech ranked as #18 in total defense last year. Not exactly world beaters, but not slouches either. LINK

We had been switching Oline guys around during camp. Just haven't found the right combination yet unfortunately.

Combine that with the three guys who we lost to the nfl, and you have our current dilemma.

Btw interesting fact but did you know that our all world Oline last year gave up six sacks in one game to....

Wait for it....

Western Kentucky

I agree that our Oline did not play up to standard and they did look like hot garbage tonight. But I will reserve my Fire Cristobal threads for later in the year depending on what adjustments he makes.

Except this is Virginia Tech, a team that was sixth in the whole country in making tackles behind the line.

Ole Miss has a good DL. They'll give us fits too if we're not fixed by then, but I think CyKo and Steen will actually be back to themselves by that game, and the other guys will be coming along fine. People are gonna overreact about this game, but I don't doubt Saban's ability as a coach to make sure they get it fixed. As you said though, our schedule plays in our favor.

That's impressive and all, but Ole Miss was 4th last year in TFL and you see what that did for us. 7-6.

I know. I'm not saying VT is a good team. I'm saying their front is good at penetrating, and they're very experienced. Our OL had plenty of inexperience. Makes sense they played so well on D.

Same as with us, its more about bringing odd people and disrupting.

It was a cause for a little worry.Va. Tech's D-Line was whipping their arse.Their Defense was on the field a lot and continued to bring it.

The game left me with more questions than answers.

I'd say the opposite actually.

Defense? Big check.

AJ? Made a lot of good throws that were drop, but barely had time to throw. Can't wait to see people blaming his performance on him.

TJ? Made a lot of plays after contact, but still, no one in football today is gonna do well when you're getting hit that far back.

WRs? Showed talent, but had plenty of drops. I have no question about their talent.

STs? Performed at an amazing level. Two returns for TDs, couple of more solid returns, LC26 was making people his bitch, and Mandell is booming punts.

The OL is the only question I have.

You're not giving Tech's defense enough credit. They returned 9 starters and have one of the top DC's in the country. They played great. We definitely have some work to do on offense, but opening up the season playing that caliber of defense will pay off down the road.

No argument here. I just hope it was a side effect of being up several scores or VTs DL was just really good. As well as we've recruited, we've got to have 5 guys that can block better than that.
