Agreed. He should have been fired after 2010. Never to late to fix a mistake. Hopefully he will get fired soon. But sadly I doubt it.

He will be here until he decides it is time to go. I think that is pretty evident right now.

I agree. Why would anybody want a coach that consistently wins 10 games a year. Maybe we can get Donnan or Ray Goff back.

Good lord what is wrong with you people? Is it too hard to comprehend that Richt is a very nice guy, great recruiter, with an iq of maybe 100-105? In other words, articulate but not brilliant.

A brilliant coach would take the talent he has and built a team around it. Not try to make the team into NFL lite.

A brilliant coach sees trends and counters before momentum shifts.

A brilliant coach, regrettably, is ruthless is his passion to win. A brilliant coach would never surrender his offense to a largely unproven offensive mind.

A brilliant coach would never allow his program to have less than 80-82 scholarship players. Whether Richt made a good hire on D is impossible to discern as the man has run his defense with only a handful of players the entire time he has been here.

A brilliant coach finds a way to motivate players, to discipline without taking away from the team.

This game followed the same script that every big game has followed since the coaching fraternity realized Richt's inherent weaknesses. The sad truth is even a blind hog occasionally finds an acorn.

Either accept Richt for what he is or get over it. Richt is here to stay. Saban, Spurrier, Kelly are generational coaches. Be happy with what we have. A good man, who will never win it all.

Signed,

Richt ain't going anywhere untile he decides to go...and then we are in a world of hurt. Richt has elevated this program to unprecedented heights on a consistent basis.....we are as solid as a program under his watch as UGA football has ever been. Yes we have squandered many opportunities to play for a BCS title but with the exception of the early 80's we have never been at that level anyway....not in the modern era at least. It sucks to watch Florida do what they have done since we were a true national power and Alabama is what Alabama always has been....It isn't Mark Rich that makes UGA a consistent top 15 team in all categories and not a top 5 team....it is fan expectation and demand, and UGA's fanbase is happy with things as they are and nothing is going to change until that does.....

You guys are so on point, we will never win a BCS as long as Richt is at the helm, and the fan expectations aren't great enough to change that. Somethin has got to give though, it's the same shite every single year, can't win the BIG games and never will.

This is very true, but, CMR has took UGA as far as he can. If you dont make a change then you will never know if someone else could or would take them up a level

Look I'm with everyone on richt hitting his ceiling and yea, he is a spray tanned asswipe, but I mean there's literally no chance he gets fired. Hell, I've been hoping that forever but just like how close we get to titles we always are just a smidge away from being richt less. You can't fire him now and I guess that's what's getting me the most: Georgia makes the same mistakes time and again and apparently that isn't going to change. What's more infuriating is that he hasn't done anything at all close to fire-able recently and he's not half bad. I just despise this ceiling that seems insurmountable

Gotta get over it man. Some people root for the Yankees, some for the Red Sox and some for the Cubs.

Save 1980, we are the Cubs with aspirations to be the Red Sox.

I would have never fired Richt even at his worst. He is a near ideal HC for UGA but objectively I have my doubts that CMR will ever win a NC. We were very close to having a championship level team last season but we never seem to have championship level linemen.
