against Toledo in our first game. DVR'd the game and re-watched.

Likes

1. The Oline seems to have gotten better at pass blocking.
2. We are ridiculously deep at RB.
3. Driskel is making faster decisions when he actually makes reads.
4. Driskel is more confident in his throws.
5. The TE's are better then I thought. (I thought we would be terrible at TE)
6. Good utilization of the Fullbacks, nice little change up to throw at the defense.
7. Every bootleg rollout we did was very close to being a completion.
8.The two deep passes Driskel made were right on the money.
9.Our receivers might not make a lot of noise catching the ball that much but they can throw some nice blocks downfield.
10.Defense hasn't skipped a beat, Dline and secondary are straight nasty.

Dislikes

1. I know it was the kickers first game but I feel like were gonna miss Sturgis this year
2. Seems to me Driskel only makes reads out of shotgun, when he is under center he is predetermined with his throw and stares down his target.
3. Mack Brown still cant pass block.
4. Driskel still needs to work on his pocket presence and get a feel for the defender coming from the backside.
5. If there is one negative about the defense it is the linebackers. (just didn't see them have many big plays)
6. Penalties penalties penalties
7. Driskel has gotta learn when to give up on a play and throw the ball away.

I thought our lbers did well. I saw ball all over the field at the game and heard his name a ton on the radio for the second half. Taylor had a bad penalty but otherwise I saw no issue with him. Our defense is just nasty though. Toledo is one of the better offensive non bcs teams and we held them in check.

Im not saying there bad they just need more experience. I guess the dline and secondary are so great they overshadow the linebacking core.

I like all of our RBs - Showers' speed, Mack's toughness, Herndon is a combo of both, and Kelvin's energy. Oh yeah, and that Arkansas QB is pretty good as well.

I like both of our FBs. Joyer & Ajagbe are both versatile.

I like our d-line. Hopefully they can stay healthy cause those boys straight up get after it. Easley, Orr, Bullard, Jacobs, Cox, etc

I like our secondary. Can't wait for Purifoy to play. Loved the aggression of Riggs. I-Wat is always around the ball. Roberson is an absolute stud. Poole & Maye both have potential to be great. Neal was all over the field on special teams.

But I really really liked Dante Fowler & Vernon Hargreaves. These 2 are special. DF was flying all over the field and looks like a 4.45 guy as fast as he was running. VH has the natural ability of a Joe Haden, but is more fundamentally sound. Dude is a natural and has half of the field on lockdown for the next 3 years!

Things I didn't like? Penalties. The rest, I'll just wait until next week.....

Go Gators!

Dude Hargraves may already be as good as anyone on our team in man coverage. He had the slot receivers on LOCK. I mean he was on top of them every play. Dude is just going to be special. We already have potential first round picks with Pure and Robey. Now add in this stud. Good luck offenses. OH...don't forget Watkins is also very good

LOL I had a chuckle at it. The guy behind me at the game called Purifoy, "that pure guy" and kept calling Roberson "Robeyson". So it's now my own inside joke with my friends lol.

Like: Finally had some options that were able to step up and fill in (Brown, showers, etc.). Also, liked the D overall, can't wait to see more of VH3.

Didn't like: poor 3Q, although it's the first game. Hopefully, they'll do better at playing all 4 quarters, especially once SEC play rolls around.

Liked: -Defense looked as dominant as last years. Riggs had a nice game at safety. Roberson is amazing in coverage. Powell looked good for his first game back. Add back in Purifoy and Morrison and our D should keep games close.
-RB unit is ridiculously talented.
-Driskel looked more in command.

Didn't like: -Still not throwing it down the field.
-Bad penalties on defense.
-Kick off coverage was average
