Staying at a condo on the beach with my corndog girlfriend. She used to live in GS so we'll likely be watching the game with her gump friends at a bar. What are my chances of leaving AL without some sort of physical altercation?

Very good. Don't be an a-hole and nothing will happen.

That is true in everyday life, and you are free to use the information as you see fit.

Gulf Shores' beaches are better than Galveston and everyone knows Louisiana doesn't have a beach.

That's what I figured. That's the case with most places that aren't LSU.

Judging by your post, you are either a complete douchebag - in which case you very well might get beat down for your douchey behavior.

OR you are mentally handicapped - in which case you should be fine as people will feel sorry for you and leave you alone.

So are you a douchebag or a retard?

I just got back from Gulf Shores on Sunday. I found everyone, Gumps and Barners, to be very friendly. Sure, I was accosted a few times with a little smack talk because all I took with me was Aggie gear, but it was all good-natured. I'll go ahead and warn you though, every single person down there wearing Bama or Auburn gear sounds just like Ricky Bobby's kids.

Bama fans were great, I had a great time in Birmingham/Tuscaloosa last year.

They might be a dick to your gf though.

I would suggest not eating at a crappy clip joint for tourists like the Oyster House and find some decent food like Felix's on the Causway or maybe try Cobalt. That would be my only advice to anyone. I've lived here on and off for 45 years so you won't ever convince me otherwise.

Why do folks feel the need to wear their team "gear" everywhere they go?

I know all about Felix's. We stop there every time we go to G.S. The same GF used to work there in the day so we get free food/crazy discounts.

Cobalt is good - or Orange Beach and eat at Lagniappe.
