I attended Auburn University from 2001 - 2005. Overall, those were some pretty good years; however, most teams during that era came up just short of making it to the SEC championship and beyond.

During that time I got to see the majority of the streak over Alabama, three great wins over UGA, a very competitive rivalry with LSU, and a classic upset over Florida in 2001.

The 2004 season was definitely the highlight of my tenure as a student (although bittersweet).

2003 was by far the biggest disappointment.

Students during that time got to experience some of the best AU players of all time: Karlos Dansby, Dontarrious Thomas, Carlos Rogers, Junior Rosegreen, Carnell Williams, Ronnie Brown, Jason Campbell, Quentin Groves,...I could go on because there were plenty more.

It was a great time to be a student there and not counting 2010 probably the best part of the 2000s for AU football.

Highs and Lows

The day I moved into my freshman dorm, we beat LSU in BR. saw us tank for two years before Tubs came. Won the West twice but lost the IB 2 weeks before graduation.

1975-1979 undergrad

Great years, many national titles. Going into 1980 is becoming eerily similar to 2013 though, hope we don't flub it up. Though in 1980 we had a new QB and the Bear was getting really damn old.

Our basketball team was one of the best in the nation despite hitting a wall every time we went dancing.

One of my highlights is actually being one of the first to view our women's gymnastics team in Foster Auditorium back when about 100 or so was considered a crowd. (the team regularly goes over 10,000 every meet now).

Sadly the softball team didn't exist yet and wouldn't for decades.

I went to UT 2006-2010 (I think the most tumultuous years of Tennessee football history.)

2006- Following an extremely disappointing 2005 campaign, the heat was on Fulmer. Cutcliff returned as OC and the year was fairly decent.

2007- Backed into the SEC Championship game and had a chance to win it and head to the Sugar Bowl

2008- This is where the shite hit the fan. Fulmer fired. Kiffin hired

2009- Many UT fans were impressed by the loud-mouth arse that was Kiffin, I was not. He was decent hanging with Florida and nearly beating Alabama- ditched UT in the middle of the night.

2010- Worst coaching hire in Tennessee history- still reeling from that one.

95-*cough* 2001. Middle of the pack for the most part with some miraculous finishes. That was when the UF/LSU rivalry was in full beast mode

2009 Mullens first year we went 5-7 but beat ole miss and had the #1 SOS in the country it was a lot of fun

2010 was he best year Mullen has had and we were oh so close from an 11 win season (frick up in the auburn gam, and a BS call vs arky)

2011- meh
2012- from the highest of highs to lowest of lows

05-09

Got to see us lose to Arkansas State in 08 in addition to a 4-8 season with a loss to Baylor....yes Baylor.

'05 was pretty fun watching A&M get pounded by 4 touchdowns by Iowa st on route to a 5 win season.

'06 was particularly exciting. Tech completing a 30 yard strike in the endzone with less than 2 minutes left down 4. Blocked FG by Nebraska while we were up 6 only to watch them drive down for the winning TD. And who could forget Fran kicking a FG down 4 to OU with less than 3 minutes to go on 4th and 1 from the goal line when we have a 280 pound tailback.

It really is the golden age of Crimson Tide in general. There's been at least 1 NC every year I've been a student.

2010- Gymnastics
2011- Football, Gymnastics, Softball, W Golf
2012- Football, M Golf

Auburn 04-07... won over 40 games in 4 years... SEC Championship... won 3 out of 4 Bowl Games... beat Bama 4 years. Saw wins at BDS, Sanford, Neyland.

pretty good times... makes me miss tuberville (just a little).
