Sounds like a grade issue. He mentioned he needed to get his academics in order. Best of luck to the kid.

IRL, I'm sure he actually told the coaches. There are things we don't actually get to see first hand you know...

Completely agree. I was just saying that is how I found out about it retweeted by Rivals. I hope he gets whatever he needs to get in order and comes back. If not, best of luck to the kid elsewhere.

I was tempted to bring this here, but was scared of the rumor factor.

Look for UGA to turn up the heat on D.J. Smith for the other safety spot in the class.

As it stands now, Glass is probably going to have to go to JUCO.

Shaw has work to do also, but he has a good shot at qualifying.

Well, he transferred under circumstances, but is good to play football this season so I think it is less specific grade issues, and more on track to graduate with the classes he needs to be admitted. I think after Rico Johnson's online courses were rejected by the Clearinghouse, UGA no longer wants to hold a spot for a S especially that may not get in. They have possible S on the ground right now, but they all appear to be banged up....It is just a position that needs solid recruits right now.

Considering Ole Miss accepted Lavon Hooks when Auburn denied him due to a class not being accepted, it is safe to say that Ole Miss gives zero fricks about qualifying issues

I wish AU was more like that

Well documented on Auburn's side that there was an issue with Auburn admissions getting Lavon Hooks accepted. Ole Miss accepted the class.
Not sure why you say it is a fail.

I mean I guess I should have technically said Ole Miss admissions gives zero fricks but I'm pretty sure everyone understood the point I was making.

Either way, still jealous. I wanted Lavon Hooks and we aren't Harvard so I don't see how allowing one oversized football player is going to affect our standards considering some kids here probably shouldn't have been accepted ot community college

No, GenesChin is exactly right. It sucks, too. The kid grew up and Auburn fan and all of the fanbase wanted him.

I expect Ole Miss to have one of, if not the, top defensive line units in the SEC. Channing Ward, Issac Gross, Robert Nkemdiche, CJ Johnson, and Lavon Hooks will be hard to handle.

Heard this is their theme song for 2013.

I beleive it was the fact that Auburn wouldn't accept a D in a core class (english for Hooks, IIRC) and Ole Miss would. For LH to end up at Auburn, he would've had to retake english in the spring.

It made sense for him to go to Ole Miss.
