The spot that used to be Gumby's is currently being remodeled into a fricking pizza hut. 
A whole generation of dawgs will never know what it is like to get some of the finest cheeba straight from the Gumby's kitchen while munching on some delicious pokey stix at 2:30 a.m. on a week night, a true tragedy.

That's a shame. 1/4 of my diet freshman year was made up of Pokey Stix.

Dude....Gumby's has been out of business for years now. This ain't news.
There's still Little Italy or my personal favorite, though out of the way now, Peppino's.

Yep...the Wagon Wheel was so big you couldn't get it through the door without tilting it a bit. Not the best flavor if I remember....but for pure volume and delivery in the early morning....nothing could beat it.

Yeah, Gumby's has been dead for a couple of years now. Little Italy still exists. Steverinos is dead. Transmet and Your Pie rule the roost as far as local pizza goes, now.

I know they have been out since 2010 I believe, as of last year I am pretty sure there was a half assed attempt to put another pizza place there but it failed miserably. Anyways, the fact that there will be no local establishment within walking distance of the dorms sucks arse.
Little Italy is aight, can't complain when you are drunk, Trans Met is my go to as of now

Love little Italy and Peppinos is awesome but no one knows where it is unless you're looking for it or live off if Whitehall.

That's fair. I still LOVE Peppino's (and it USED to be downtown many years ago....and had an arcade). It's out at the intersection of Milledge and Barnett Shoals now.
