We need to hear more. Everyone talks about Malzahn's HUNH offense, but will the Auburn Defense be up to SEC standards this year?

I was very surprised to see A&M hang a record 63 points at Jordan-Hare last year and chalked it up to post-post-Cam hangover disease. The Tigers can shut opponents down when necessary (see the 2010 Iron Bowl).

Does your QB switching to Safety help in 2013? How will the Tiger defense fare this year?

TIA.

Yes, this will be key.

They have a 5* QB playing Safety.

Worked for Arkansas by moving Steve Atwater to safety when he couldn't make the chart at QB.

They shut LSU down in 2012. I was at that game... the best part about that entire experience was the sunset behind Jordan Hare. Terrible game...

Well, we might be small, but we're gonna be slow!

Oh, and because it was a late kickoff and the game got out late, Chickfila stayed open past midnight, which meant it was officially open on a Sunday. And I ate the frick out of a chicken sammich after that game.

If I didn't hate Auburn so much, I'd like the town.

Their DC just went 0-12 so what could go wrong?

I'm not sure why that matters...at all.

It sounds like EJ has put a lot of emphasis on tackling. Which has been a huge problem since Tubbs left. I think we'll be much improved this year but still not anything special.

We need another DLineman that can be disruptive which we might have in Lawson.

I really hate that this is true now. We used to have badass defenses year in and year out.

I loved our defenses when Muschamp was here.

Agree. Especially in mid-late tuberville years. As much as I hated them...that defense was always stacked as a motherfricker

Hell, it wasn't even bad in 2008 when Paul Rhodes was here...

However, from 2009 on (aside from the run defense in 2010), Auburn's defense has been mediocre at best.

Recent trend, not historic. Either way, AU won't have a statistically stallar defense with the HUNH. The key is a disruptive defense that forces turnovers. People will score on AU, it's just imperative that AU win the TO battle.

Considering what Paul Rhodes had to deal with with lack of help from the o, he did a damn good job. The one coach I wish Chiz would have retained.
