This includes college and pro.

For my state, SC, which has no pro sport teams, I would say USC Gamecocks.

In Georgia, is it the Braves, Falcons, or Dawgs (the only 3 in contention IMO)?

Louisianna: Saints or Tigers?

Florida? I would say the Gators are the most popular college team but does the bandwaggoning of the Heat beat them out?

Missouri, definitely the Cards.

Alabama: UA followed closely by Auburn

Kentucky, The fighting Calaparis?

Tennessee its the Vols.

Texas is the Cowboys...right? Yeah.

Arkansas: Razorbacks

Mississippi: Ole Miss

Of course all the Podunk states without pro teams will have their sec football team #1.

I think Georgia has more passionate fans than the braves but the braves fanbase is huge.

since southern and northern california are basically two different states and hate each other, ill have to break it down by northern and southern california. the lakers are really the only team/franchise that transcends the southern/northern california bitch fit

nba: lakers
nfl: raiders if youre in southern california, niners if youre in northern
mlb: dodgers if youre in southern california, jints if youre in northern
nhl: kings if youre in southern california, sharks if youre in northern
college: usc/ucla if youre in southern california, cal if youre in northern

Pretty sure the lies in the Mississippi statement. Everyone loves a landmass fight.

I'd say it's easily 80% University of Kentucky with a mix of UofL, WKU, Ohio State, the Bengals, and a couple others sharing that 20%.

Not necessarily true. Tennessee has the Titans.
And states like Texas and Florida have multiple pro franchises so which is more popular?

What's that all about?
Most popular team by sport (from what I can observe, tell me if I'm wrong):
Cowboys>Texans
Rangers>Astros
Mavs
Longhorns>Aggies (wish it wasn't this way my SEC brethren but for now it is)

I would say the 'Boys have the most collective fans.

No way it's a college team for Florida.

As much as I hate to say this, the most popular college team in the state is probably MSU. The majority of the citizens of the state are MSU fans.
