Obviously, it could happen, but what makes Bama fans so confident?

I was watching the highlights of that game last year and Mettenberger played out of his mind and LSU's offense went up and down the field on Bama's vaunted D. LSU returns 9 starters on offense and will be stronger on the offensive line than last year and will have an OC who is clearly more accomplished than our offensive line coach was an OC.

Our defense will be fine as we return lots of talent and experience in the back 7 and our DLine is very talented and will have lots of experience by then.

LSU will be a better team this season than they were last year. 14 starters back. 33 of 44 from the 2 deep. Everyone older, more experienced, stronger, with better coaching.

Alabama very well could win and definitely has the team to do so. I just wonder why Bama fans are basically certain that they will.

Discuss.

Mccarron played like shite for 3 quarters and 13 minutes and they still beat you. Imagine if he plays well the whole game this year.

They've won three out of the last four national championships.... we'd be the same way if it was us...

Bama returns a title team.

LSU lost most of it's top defenders.

Bama won last year. It's at home.

Seems pretty obvious why they would think it. Doesn't mean it's true, but LSU isn't all that hyped this year so it's understandable why Bama fans think they will win the game.

LSU's defense had something to do with that.

McCarron played just like he did in the regular season game in 2011. The only time McCarron has played really well against LSU was 1/9/12. We act like that is the norm for him. It clearly is not.

He had a great final drive, though. I will give him that.

A 64% winning percentage against Lsu, including 4 of the last 6.

I get all of that. Alabama will win every game and will never lose again. I get it.

Alabama could return all 22 of their starters from last year and I would still be confident that LSU would give them all they want and more in that game. I think that this LSU team is going to surprise everyone.

Where is Alabama better than they were last year? This is a serious question. I am not flaming. If I wanted to flame, I would take a very different approach.

Clueless. Bama returns one more starter and LSU returns more off the two deep(33/44).

Because y'all lost the majority of the talent on your defense.

We had a few of tough breaks in the game. Cooper was injured to start the game and only played a little bit. The fluke fumble when we were around the 10 yard line.

LSU has beaten Bama 9 times in the last 12 years. Miles is 3-1 in BDS while LSU is 5-1 in BDS in that span

After this season everyone will scratch their heads. It will be a long time before LSU is overlooked again.
