Apparently, he was unconscious for five minutes after a pile up. Scary stuff.

LINK

He missed the second half of last season with a concussion as well. The staff even did their best to fit him with a customized helmet to lessen some of the shock. Still, he's likely done with this injury.

Very sad.. I hope the kid has no lasting effects. With all the stuff coming out about longterm side effects of head injuries, you have to hope he considers his future outside of football.

that's some scary stuff. 5 minutes must have felt like an eternity for those there.

Hate to hear this type of stuff. Really feel for the guy because he can't play the game he loves anymore.

Very scary stuff. With the new concussion guidelines that have come out in recent years, he is likely done. It will be in his best interests. He will be in my prayers.

Even if he makes a quick enough recovery to return, I doubt he will. If he gets knocked unconscious during a shells practice (essentially non-contact, give or take a few drills), there's no telling what kind of damage that could happen during a game. With every concussion, one's propensity for subsequent concussions increases. Scary stuff.
