Auburn's momentum going into this season

I was looking at the end of Auburn's schedule from last year and was curious where all this optimism is coming from. Auburn went 2-3 in its final 5 games with the 2 wins coming against one of the worst teams in the country and a SWAC team while allowing 150 points against SEC teams.
So Auburn fans why all the optimism?
Is Gus gonna improve your D?
Texas A&M 63, Auburn 21 L
Auburn 42, New Mexico St. 7 W
Georgia 38, Auburn 0 L
Auburn 51, Alabama A&M 7 W
Alabama 49, Auburn 0 L

Did you watch any of them? The team completely quit, it was obvious to people who don't even watch football

We have the talent to run Gus' offense
We were within 13 points of being a 6-6 team and not a 3-9 team, and beating Clemson, LSU, and Vandy.
AU had given up by the end of the season

This thread didn't require a real response.
Arky and MSU take turns having auburn as the apple of their eye. This year...it's arky.

This is beyond an excuse.

quote:Pretty good talent (according to recruiting evaluations). An HC that has run a successful offense everywhere he has been. A new DC that has been successful revamping SEC defenses. An easier schedule than last year. And finally and most importantly, the hope of the off season and new Victory Wires.
So Auburn fans why all optimism?

Give it up. Auburn is a better program, has better talent, and will have a much better season than Arkansas this year. A&M took your spot as the No. 4 program in the SEC West. Go back and sit at the kids table with Ole Miss and MSU.

We were within 7 points of being 6-6 as well...

Auburn and LSU are headed in opposite directions this season. #TheDecline

Recent history says otherwise

OM was a 7 point game with 5 minutes to play adnb Arky was a 7 point game at the beginning of the 4th.
Had our previous staff been able to motivate our players better, things could have been different.
