Yeah, which is why I was convinced they were gonna pick Aggies. They are two of the biggest trolls, and everyone knew they were gonna pick tu. Logically, that would indicate that they're going to shock the world by announcing for a different school. My rationalization failed me

I really don't see how they "trolled." They did what any big time recruit does. They say/retweet/favorite positive things about every school they're considering. Anyone who thinks they're deliberately showing favoritism towards one school is likely viewing it from a skewed perspective.

Something very important to remember is we went after Elam hard with a scholarship offer over Hill and Boyd. Our staff rated him above them and because of that we slow played Hill and Boyd.
Will it cost us in the end? Maybe, but both of them are in the category of "really good" prospects and not elite. Sheffield is elite.

I know what you're saying, but Snyder was the one who wanted Elam over Boyd and Hill. And staff thought we were getting Sheffield (cause he told them he was coming). Still, no excuse for not even keeping in touch with these guys. That's either laziness or ignorance.

Exactly.
1. There are way more moving parts in play than just our coaches staying in touch with a kid
2. Coaches have to be very careful, recruits can frick with coaches but if you lead a kid on and really drag him out only to kick him to the curb when you find someone better, you could get shut out of his school for future recruiting
