My early pick is QB Teddy Bridgewater of Louisville.

In his favor, Louisville has a winnable schedule from start to finish. Bridgewater is a class act of a kid, with a great work ethic, a team player.... Pretty safe to rule out off field trouble with him.

Last season in the Orange Bowl, Bridgewater gashed Florida. I also think he will be the first QB taken in the NFL draft.

Who is your early favs?... Why?

Bridgewater is going to flop. I'm calling it.

i'm not sure anyone is looking forward to playing Gus Malzahn. he has a way of instantly transforming an offense.

Zach Mettenberg.

I think he has a breakout season.

i like Braxton Miller's chances. he is legit, from a legit conference.

McCarron probably isn't enough of a one man show to win it.

it seems unlikely, not because Bridgewater isn't good but because he is going to have zero national games. His stats are going to have to blow everyone out of the water and that just seems really unlikely

2012
Att-Cmp-Yards-TD-INT
287-419-3718-27-8
295-434-3706-26-9

Those are that passing stat lines for Bridgewater and Manziel last year. Bridgewater held his own with the Heisman winner. Only he rushed for 1350 fewer yards and 20 fewer TDs. That's an enormous stat gap to bridge and it's doubly difficult when he has no top 10 type matchups to showcase himself

I'd say Manziel, Mariota, Braxton Miller, McCarron and Clowney all stand out as frontrunners. If you want a darkhorse, I really like Brett Hundley at UCLA. I don't see Seastrunk as likely just because Baylor is going to have games they really struggle without a QB. It's really hard to win a Heisman at 8-4.

I think he's going to be decent but not near as good as people are making him out to be. I think people saying he's #1 pick overall material are crazy.

My bold prediction was UK beating Louisville......

Maybe she has brainwashed me.

Zach is on the right team. he'll have to literally win a big game or two on great play to be considered strongly though. he also must find a way to beat Bama to have a real shot.

You may be dead on. If he has the kind of season he had last year, he will be top 2 for sure.

fact is, Clowney is the best player in college football, so he would be more than deserving should he continue his head rattling ways.
