Just thought about what a snaffoo it would be if he ever left to coach Auburn. Do you think he would suffer bodily injuries.

Is this a question or a statement?

Saban is 61. At this point, his next move is retirement. My guess is he'll coach between 4-6 more seasons at Bama and then bow out.

Probably retire. Would be after a couple years of dropping 2 or 3 games. He would likely want to go out considered the best in the business. Could be 3 years from now, could be 6-8. I'm gonna guess 5. Really nothing else to accomplish

Yep, he'll go out like the Bear or Bobby B. Once he feels a little too old to keep up he'll retire.

Would be taken straight to football heaven and head a coup over Bryant, Schembechler, Lombardi, Knute Rockne and Frank Leahy.

now? The NFL. Only proving ground left.
Later? Probably to his lake house to play golf and fish.
either way, when he's old and gray, a fiery chariot will come down from the heavens and carry him up.

I don't think he leaves to coach anywhere else again. I have no idea how much longer he stays at Bama. At least a few yrs. If he wins another 2 NC though, does his desire to do something different come into play? With the playoff coming into being, I can see him having Bama in a position any given year to play for a NC and if he achieves that once or twice, I could see him looking for new challenges. After all, he'll have won as many NC's as Bear and what else is there to accomplish as a college head coach?

Spurrier still has something to prove at South Carolina, Saban has accomplished a lot 5 more years would probably be enough for him

Yeah he may do that. Spurrier is about to retire, though, in all likelihood. He's got his program peaking right now, and once that peak has passed my bet is he'll retire.
But in Saban's case, he's got nothing to prove and a shite ton of money. If it were me, I'd go out on a high note and be remembered as the greatest coach of the modern era rather than a guy who didn't know when to quit.

Doubt he leaves Bama. Who knows when he'll retire. This won't be a popular opinion here but I bet he's at Bama at least 10 more years.
