Who Would You Rather Take on your D-Line This Year? Cody or Pollack?

Terrence Cody was a force to be reckoned with. David Pollack was too. They were both better than Clowney or Fairley, that's for damn sure.
So, who do you want on your DL this year?

Cody better than Clowney or Fairley? clearly this is a joke.

I'm not joking. Explain your feelings.

Seriously. Quit huffing your keyboard cleaner. You're losing brain cells at an alarming rate, Rig.
And to answer your question...even though I will never get over what he did to us I would take Pollack.

Fairley was better than Cody.
Pollack and Clowney are about equal.
So thread is kind of blah but I'd take Cody. He'd be good for our 3-4 scheme. We need a monster NT to absorb blocks.

Terrance Cody over Nick Fairley?
Only in a hotdog eating contest.

Again, DIAF and take the person who said Pollack = Clowney with you

Pollack but only if it was a time travel option where we could get the 2004 version, b/c our LB's are young. We could put him at Mike and he would be an upgrade.
Did Pollack ever have a pro career, I can't remember him doing anything?

Cody is not in the same league as pollack, clowney, and fairley.
The latter trio all have made numerous athletic bone crushing, and jaw dropping plays with athleticism. Hated both fairley and pollack but they were beasts.
Cody was a fat frick gap filler. okay he blocked a couple crucial field goals. And really he's good at what he does. But do NOT mention him in the same breath as the others. Give me fricking Marcell Dareus over the mountain.

Should have been prepared for the hilarity before I opened the thread.
In all seriousness Clowney and Fairley were/are far better than Cody and Pollack.

True.
Alabama's LBs are the playmakers, obviously, and most of the defensive linemen are just there to occupy space. Nothing wrong with it, just a different style.

On our line this year? Neither.
Cody is a 3-4 NG, wouldn't work in our 4-2-5 system.
Sutton opposite Clowney should be at least as good as Pollack... he might have a shot at second or third string DE (maybe).

You would take a 3 year backup over a 3 time All-American?
Hm. Cool.

Clowney is the most overhyped D-Lineman I've ever seen. No way in hell he's better than Pollack even at Pollack's average production. Fairley is by default better than Cody because Cody was not meant to do the things Fairley did.
I stand by the fact that Clowney, albeit a fantastic player, is not GOAT status or in a class all by himself until he proves as such this year. I wanna see the guy get at least twenty sacks and a significant amount of TFLs before I believe that he's lived up to the outrageous amount of unjustified hype.

Fourthreeforty, that hit he had on the Michigan rb was the perfect storm for people to over-hype him. Great player, just not the caliber everybody thinks he is at this very moment.... yet...
