Day 1

Mauger and Fluker look legit, very fluid. Bennett is in rare form. Toby Johnson looks amazing. Reggie Davis will make noise for the Dawgs, maybe not this year, but this kid's speed suggest he could play a role at least in returns in the next four years. Ray Drew looks to get the nod over Thornton. Quayvon Hicks looks like Justin Tuck at fullback, looks like he'll meet the hype, definitely worth the price of admission. Ryne Rankin and Reggie Carter provide solid depth. TJ Stripling and Vasser look good. It's all or nothing for them this year. Tramel Terry is practicing HARD .

58 Sterling Bailey | 6-3, 295, RS SO
47 Ray Drew | 6-5, 284, JR
53 Clint Kirk | 6-3, 275, SR

He's second behind Bailey already...no idea where Thornton comes into play...maybe he meant Taylor who's second behind Smith?

Throw a dark visor on there and he's complete.

Thanks, but is this your observation from seeing practice or did you read this?

Just curious.

He reminds me of Lorenzo Neal blocking for LT in San Diego.

quote:

During his first season blocking for LaDainian Tomlinson, he helped him rush for 1,645 yards and the team to rush for a total of 2,146 yards. Tomlinson became Neal's fifth 1,000 yard rusher he blocked for

We can only hope

Doesn't Fluker have a hamstring injury?

Still practiced. Still looks good. He and Bellamy both were in green shirts but went through drills. Fluker looks the part physically. Bellamy has a long way to go.

Yeah, I thought he looked pretty thin coming in. Probably needs another 20lbs to fill out his frame.

That's good to hear on Fluker's part...any word on if he will able to go for the opener?
