I loved what Fowler brought offensively to the I formation. I really think the A&M game might of had a different outcome with him in the game. Do yall think we will see a full recovery from his injury this season and will he return to making significant contributions to the team?

Who knows. Hopefully he picks up where he left off. We wont know for sure until we see him in a game. We do know that he is a very hard worker, so that bodes well for him.

Absolutely. Him getting hurt last year was a significant blow to our offense last year. We managed to still do well without him, but we would have been even better with him healthy. If he's back to normal, then he will be a very important part of our offense.

With Fowler being from the 251, I hope he comes back in the same form or better. But to be realistic, I don't think he'll be the Fowler of old. I think he will be serviceable to say the least, similar to Hightower after his injury.

I don't expect to see the quickness he had for someone that size. I expect more of a fullback role and short yardage stuff early on in the season.

Restructured ACLs arent as big of a deal these days. Looks at Adrian Peterson. Dude came back from his ACL surgery looking better than ever. There are more countless examples. I am not saying he will be back to 99%, but I am not saying that he wont either.

Hightower was much more than "serviceable" after his injury. Sure, he struggled a little bit in 2010, but he was amazing for us in 2011. Sure, that doesnt help my argument for Fowler, but to say he was just serviceable is incorrect.

I might be wrong, but I think he'll be really, really good. Maybe even match Yeldon's rushing totals if they'll give him the carries. I just love his power style

Yeah I enjoy him to. I was sick to my stomach when he was injured. I loved that we had so many different running styles that would keep opposing defenses on their toes. We lost a huge, no pun intended, piece of our running game when he went out. I hope he can return to normal and impress some NFL scouts. I feel like Fowler has been forgotten by parts of our fan base with all these young backs coming in this year.

No. It takes 6 months to come back from an ACL physically and 2 years to come back mentally if your name isn't Adrian Peterson.

The mental part of rehab is the hardest. Trusting your body after surgery is quite difficult. Most of us normal people are never the same. I had my leg immobilized for six weeks. It is depressing when u have to learn how to walk again.

Fowler is a young athlete with a great medical team so obviously he has a good shot of recovering and making the league. Having said that, he will probably be limited early in the season. Hopefully he has a starting role in at least our short yardage offense.

Yeah, it will be tough mentally, especially as big as he is. He will be second guessing that knee for a while before he gets comfortable with it. That first time he plants and cuts and stays upright though, it's unfortunate that we will be unable to see the look on his face inside his helmet. After that, it will be on.

What exactly did he tear by the way? We always get the phrase "significant knee injury."
