The Friday before the game, Randy Rogers Band is playing at the Varsity, and Robert Earl Keen is playing at L'Auberge in BR. You might want to get tickets early.

I'd probably pick the RRB show, since it's at the Varsity (steps off of campus, with the chimes--good food and 40 or so beers on tap next door). Also Casino shows are always shorter, and REK has Kellie Pickler opening for him (I'm assuming she's opening).

Jerry Jeff used to play here back in the late 80's/early 90's, and pre-sellout Pat Green later on. A lot of TX country fans here.
