we should focus on the positives that come from those individuals that are doing the right thing. Everyone makes mistakes in life, some worse than others, but you understand the point. We know why the media markets hype negative stories; its all about the pursuit of viewership and $$$. Sadly it is a direct reflection on our society as a whole. Personal redemption is a good thing and making the choice to be a better person should be celebrated. Just tired of the perpetual negativity, rant off. 180 degree turn around

Saw that story yesterday...to be clear, Cam did not take a 180 turnaround, ppls perception did.(some at leats).

This is the same nice guy that was mentoring kids while at Auburn...ESPN didnt talk about that bec it doesnt drive ratings. This wont either.

Theyd rather spend an hour talking about cheaters like A-rod.

yes, that is the same Cam from AU... the turn around occurred between UF/Blinn and then to AU... its a good story, the guy has a good heart and collectively got his act together when handed a second chance.

Going to a place like Blinn from UF can be humbling. He showed he appreciated his second chance at success.

I can't see into the man's heart to know whether he has always been this way or has changed over the last few years. Either way, he seems to be a genuinely good guy, that takes the time to be nice to people and do good things. He also is a world class jimmie rustler

I dont think Cam is an evil person but he most certainly lied his arse off to the media/public about the scandal.

That is your perception and it is still fairly popular amongst many ppl.

We all there is no way of knowing any truth so everyone can have thier opinions.

About knowing his dad tried to get paid, or that you think he did in fact get paid?

The opinions don't vary outside the Auburn fanbase. The guy and his dad got away with breaking NCAA rules. No bid deal, but it's not like there is a 50/50 split on people's opinion here.

I like Cam. He's a great football player and he seems like a genuinely nice guy. If you're going to pay for a guy, you might as well get those qualities too. As opposed to paying for heathens like Albert Means.
