Everyone wants to give JFF a pass since he is 20 years old.

I really don't dislike the kid or A&M, but I have to call bullshite !

We have 20 year old guys that have been defending this country and dying in war for the past 20 years !

When I was 19, I was going to LSU and working every odd job I could so I could eat.

When I was 20, I had to leave school for a while and run my dads small business because he had suffered a heart attack until he got well.

I had to delay my degree by 2 years, but I got it done with little assistance.

There are plenty of 20 year old kids that are supporting a young family now while watching their own dreams dissappear.

The bottom line is, There are 20 year old young men that are doing the right things every day with no fanfare, they should be respected.

Save you pity for JFF, I guess he will need it someday. I see a lot of heartache in his future becuase of the coddleing and the free passes that he has been given.

I agree he needs to grow up and quick...but from reading that article I am not so sure he really ever had a chance. Seems his parents are pretty crappy to me.

Tell me more please. I'd really like to learn more about the JFF phenomenon.

Not everyone is like you...shocking, I know.

Sorry that you've had a tougher road than many, but lighten up. One of the best parts of college is partying. Perhaps he should be more discreet in his fun, but really how can he when everyone is trying to snap a picture? So should he just not have fun because he won the Heisman?

Difference... he is spoiled and from a rich family. Yes hes a douchebag but also yes he is 20 years old...

Comparing your isolated situation against his isn't really fair.

There are alot more college kids that play sports partying and living the college life than there are in the position you described.

you can just leave it as JFF is a dipshit. Everyone knows it.

You did leave out one difference between you and him...no one gives a shite about your life.

I agree here. If JFF did not play football and was the not the Heisman winner, ESPN(Everyday Sports Paparazzi Network) could care less. The only reason they are defending him is because they pushed so hard for him to get the Heisman and afterwards promoted him as the next legend for the upcoming season. Now they are trying to save face and get people to have sympathy for him.

I have nothing against him or aTm but getting tired of his story. I hope he has a great season and if not and they find him in hotel room with a needle in his arm and a dead prostitute I could care less either. He had an opportunity that most do not and blew it. So I have no sympathy for him no matter what his age is.

So I guess this would be a bad place to say outside summer internships I never had a job during college and my parents paid for the whole shabang!

Oh and I took a 5th year victory lap to keep having fun...

Was the national media putting out stories about you daily? Did you have 400,000 people following your every move on twitter? We're people paying $20,000 for your autograph on a helmet?

I didn't think so. To compare yourself at 20 and Manziel at 20 is absurd.

I find it funny for aTm fans to defend him because without him aTm would not be in any discussion. If he was a bench player you would have thrown him under the bus and could care less.

I find it funny you know exactly what people you've never met would do.

Your opinion and mine as well, but I am not the one defending him either.

Again I liked watching him play and hope he has another great year, but his off the field issues I have no pity for. Life is hard and it will only get harder for him.
