I guess this means we're moving on from Key, although he still is saying he will honor his OV to us on the 23rd...

When did he say that, or who said that?

Pull it. POS doesn't deserve it.

Everybody drools over this bitch but he seems way too light to play DE in the SEC. Hope he goes else where, gets his shite pushed in and wonders why nobody gives a frick about his diva attitude anymore when hes buried on the depth chart/a Gamecock at Jacksonville State

Totally agree.

He's been doing this crap to us since the loss to A&M in September.

Time to move-on. If we're that desperate then we're in real trouble ... and we're not.

well hmmm that's interesting. Do you know what would be funny? 247 has 1 more adjustment of rankings before NSD. They've been talking about bumping him to 5 star.

If he decommitted to get his hype up and get the 5* bump, to only actually recommit on NSD...

Been time to move on.

Quality character players that you want in your program are above these petty games hes been playing. Its one thing to commit and then have a change of heart/coaching change affect your decision.

To commit an decommit twice to the same school is inexcusable, especially when there has been ZERO coaching changes.

frick him and the horse he sits on. I seriously hope all the bad things in life happen to him and only him

BAW and Dante Sawyer had some strong words on Twitter for him last night. Not talking shite, just saying that they believe a man should stick to his word.

So now he is saying that he decommitted from us, but we still lead? This kid has some serious attention issues.

My position on him is basically the same as it is with Fields: both are great talents, and definitely it would be great to have both in the program to help get the defense back on track...

But losing either or both are not IMO deal breakers, as long as we bring in the other DL commitments we have in this class. We already have excellent DB depth and were adding a couple more (although I'm also hearing that Arnette may be shaky and is looking hard at Ohio State), but the DE/DT depth we're bringing in for this class in addition to what we already have in-program made me wonder how all would ever get enough snaps, or if a LOT of the guys we already have at DE would be moving on. (about 3-5 of them).

IMO we just need 2 quality LEGIT ends that can escape opposing OTs and put pressure on the opposing QB on a consistent basis. We have enough depth behind that, and if we can develop some dependable pressure game in and game out from our ends, I feel our LBs and DBs are already good enough to get our defense overall back to what we've come to expect at USC.

But even without Key, we have Lewis signed to us - Scout.com has him a 5*-rated and their overall number 1 prospect for the 2015 class, regardless of him being a JUCO. We have Blackshear who has sustained an injury but has had all of his senior year of HS to fully recover from it, so he should be ready to go full-speed for us this off-season. We have Sawyer and Wideman who could play some DE/DT role like Ingram played in 2011.

We also have Whitlow who the words is has also been a shaky commit to us throughout the process so we'll have to watch him. But just adding Lewis, Blackshear, Sawyer, and Wideman is a HUGE upgrade to the DL depth, and all are/were excellent pressure producers in HS or JUCO, but also have Div. 1 bodies that won't force them to spend time red-shirting in order to re-shape their bodies.

And Now Key is saying that USC is still #1 for him. IMO, he got so much back-lash on social services last night that this latest thing is just a ploy to cool off the hounds on his heels. I doubt very seriously that he will be a Gamecock on NSD, and if he is I doubt he'll have a happy career at USC. With all this recruiting drama he's been creating, there'll be crazy expectations placed on him to perform perfectly on the field as well as off of it, and any mistakes or "imperfect" effort we get out of him will just have people on him negatively like they were on Chris Smelley.....

The way he decommitted twice is bs. Key is an attention whore, imo. He's got talent, but "it" seems to be all about him all the time. Full disclosure, I'm a UGA fan & grad.

Attention whores like key rarely pan out. The key word is rarely. Kid has mad potential, would ratherhave him than have him possibly blow up for a rival.

UGA may still be in it for Key (thought it looks like AUB), but I don't think I want him at this point after all this nonsense. Prima Donna types are bad news

Has anyone heard about this new JUCO from Cali that says he is coming to Carolina to play safety? His name is Toure Boyd. Plays at Chaffey College in Cali but he is from Alabama. Plays DB currently but will switch to free safety once at Carolina.

I saw some stuff about him last night. Better question is to ask where he got that sick jersey?

DB Toure Boyd (6-1, 195) of Chaffey College (Calif.) has committed to USC for the Class of 2015.

It's subjective.

I remember when Ben Washington was moved from FS to LB for us his freshman year at 6' 190.

I remember when David Presioso was an terror at LB at 5-11 185.

6-1 195 is plenty, plenty big enough to be a big time SEC FS or Corner. 6-195 is actually an ideal weight for that height if he has the speed.

Stephon Gilmore, right now, is a 6'0" 190 CB in the NFL.

BTW, speaking of Stephon, how about the summer wedding of Stephon and Gabrielle (Glenn). College sweethearts, she ran track for Curtis Frye. I think she is a psychologish now.

Stephon really scored big time.

We just flipped 3* OT Blake Camper from Rutgers.

Sr Highlghts

Judging D1 prospect OL off of highlight reels is hard. They usually are the biggest kids on the field and going against DL"s that may never play college ball or are so much smaller that it doesn't seem fair. What you can pick up on their reels though is their punch, aggressiveness, and athleticism.

Camper had a solid punch off the ball, but the guys he was going against were non-D1 types. I did like seeing him go downfield to block several times, and there were many occasions where I saw him push his defender into other defenders, which let's me know he has some field awareness. There weren't a lot of passing highlights, and I'd like to see him in more of those situations though. From the film, I saw that he has a decent punch, athleticism and awareness. However, I didn't see anything to make me think he could help in pass protection and hold his own against an SEC DL pass rusher. I'm not saying he can't, but I would need to see more film.

SC is getting an official from 247 4* OT, Sam Madden.
Madden was a Wisconsin commit until yesterday. He's 6'7" 345 lbs....that's really big, he probably needs to trim up some bad weight.

He's coming on an OV this weekend. Projections are now coming in from 247 insiders that he ends up at Carolina. Oh St, Wisc, and Mich also have projections. However, I read elsewhere that he's not going to Wisc b/c of grades (not that he has bad grades, just not high enough to get into Wisc.) If you remember, that's why their last HC left, b/c he couldn't get the players he wanted into their school.

That's odd though, I don't think Wisc is a bad school, but I never thought of them as a prestigious public academic institution. Not bad by any means, but not great either.
