Questions for UGA & Florida fans regarding Worlds Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party

Ok quick background: My buddies and I like attending one big college football game a year that doesn't include the Universities we graduated from. This year we have chosen the UGA and Florida game.
So for the UGA and Florida fans that go every year what should we do for pre-game thats a must. This includes friday night and Saturday before the game? Where do y'all recommend we stay? Lastly, what is the best way to go about getting tickets for this game?
Thanks!

Skip the game and go to the landing. Youre welcome.

From a UGA perspective, St. Simons or Jekyll Island is the absolute tits to stay at pre-game (Wednesday, Thursday, Friday). Massive beach parties on St. Simons, golf, concert, booksignings and other country-club like shite on Jekyll.
If you don't have tickets already lined up through one of the schools, stubhub or scalping is your only hope (I had a buddy who tried to scalp two in Jacksonville last year pre-game and failed). But as mentioned, just go to the Landing and get piss drunk during the game if you can't get in.

Ive always found cheap tickets scalping, but prefer the landing honestly.

Where do y'all recommend we stay?
And good luck finding several decent tickets together for you & your pals......that probably ain't gonna happen either (unless you're OT rich)
Plan it out for 2014 and do it right

Lived in jax my whole life. Been piss drunk downtown every year since I was 16. Rv city during the week is always fun. But the Landing is definitely best for gameday.

how old are you? if 25 or under i would still go to frat beach (st. simons) on friday, honestly. just expect to act like a dumb arse college kid. easily the best "party" i have ever been to. even if you're older, st. simons is the titties that weekend for any age. it will be all uga people and just fricking awesome.
saturday, agree with everyone else. go to the landing and get fricked up. it wont be as hard to get tickets as people are saying, IMO. especially if you have any money at all. $50 has gotten everyone i know who tried in the game the last two years.

If you can't get tix, the landing is definitely the place to be.

My buddies and I are all either 22 or 23. We are all OT ballers with top notch Oil & Gas jobs driving Aston Martins as our day cars....
Nah but seriously money isn't a problem we all have decent jobs. Plus we are all single. Thanks for the info. Frat beach sounds like a must. The landing sounds bad arse but I don't mind shelling out some money for tickets.

The Landing is fun, but if you can afford the price of tickets, the atmosphere of the actual game is awesome if you've never been.
Never been to Frat Beach seeing as it's all Dawgs fans, but I've always wanted to after seeing this.
RV City on Friday night is a fun time as well.

My goodness...all the trash (people included) in that video. Why do GA fans litter so much?

It can't be any worse than Mardi Gras in NOLA and I go to that every year since I was in college. Looks fun to me

You didn't see the trash? I'm sure all those EW bottles and beer cans were picked up by the good folks that but them on the beach.
Anyway, we all have trash fans, yours seem to litter a lot even on your campus.
Jealous statements from the one that picked gatorhater as his handle. That empty space in your head is ours. We own it.

NOLA has a staff of employees to clean up the trash nightly. You would think these college going folks would be smart enough to bring a trash bag or 1000.
