QB (5)
Berkstresser, Mauk, Printz, Zanders, Lock

They indicated they thought Berk might transfer. I don't see it. It's possible but I think the more likely situation is Printz or Zanders transfers. In the end, I wouldn't be surprised to lose 1 from this group.

RB (8)
Hansbrough, Hunt, Steward, Witter, Walters, Abbington, Strong, Doherty, Williams.

Already know that Strong won't count against the final number. Hunt may drop back off.

WR(11)
Leftwich, Brown, Moore, DiLosa, Blair, Richard, Smith, Johnson, Hall, Floyd, Martin.

Martin is a threat to not qualify. Don't see Leftwich leaving.

TE(3)
Culkin, Reese, Blanton

None are leaving.

OL(18)
Boehm, McGovern, Chappell, Hall, McNulty, Williams, Abeln, Crawford, Rhodes, Adams, Pendleton, Bailey, Bauer, Fairchild, Cuellar, Howell, Harris, Owens.

Even though 2 count to last years class, both still count to the total cap. Chappell, Hall and McNulty would be the early graduates that one would think might transfer/leave, but they all also saw snaps last year.

DE(8)
Hatley, Loud, Harris, Williams, McWilliams, Brady, Frazier, Howard

Hatley would be the only one buried but we're so thin at DE no one is buried. Plus he saw snaps last year.

DT(6)
Brantley, Augusta, Winston, Logan, Jacobs, Moore

No one leaving from this group.

LB(10)
Brothers, Green, Scherer, Newsom, Beisel, Burkett, Lee, Jones, Winters, Agbamisere

They mention Green, the likely choice, but he also played last year.

CB(8)
Johnson, Dennis, Gibson, Penton, Cheadle, Stribling, Wingo, Warren

Johnson is a possibility as he's buried by youth. Maybe a young guy like Stribling who seems to already be buried?

S(9)
Browning, Simon, Ward, Rupert, Sherrills, Wilson, Ross, Perkins, Hilton

Browning maybe? Simon was already a starter. A younger one that might be buried...Rupert????

ST(3)
Baggett, Hurrell, Fatony

Doubt they yank Baggett with this being his last year. Are we better giving a long snapper a scholarship as opposed to a regular player? Up to GP I guess. I wouldn't. But I wouldn't have 2 kickers on scholarship either.

So by my count we are at 89, and that's not counting Strong. We're already 4 over. That's 67 returning scholarship players and 22 commits. So where to the 4+ come from that we have to lose? Any combination of:

Printz/Zanders/Berk???
Hunt???
Hall/McNulty/Chappell???
Johnson/Browning/Stribling/Rupert???
Hurrell???

I have no idea who it will be, and there will likely be some surprised, but as we stand right now, we have to reduce our scholarship number by 4. If we land Beckner, we have to eliminate 5 names from the above lists by position.

That 4.4 speed is generous to say the least. Id say he's of a similar talent level to Williams and Williams is at a pipeline school and wants to be a Tiger. Easy choice.

Moore and Martin likely are not going to qualify. Hunt and Hurrel likely will not be on scholarship next year.

I think we'll take 3 more if we can get the right 3. Beckner, Coleman and Hall.

You mentioned some transfer candidates, but I think you may see a RB transfer as well. We are getting pretty heavy on numbers there. Walters would be a candidate.

I don't know if this was posted, but it's a story about Brandon Martin at the end of his visit last week.

Family And Academics Sell Martin On Mizzou

I love these quotes. Hopefully he's not easily swayed. He'd look great in Black & Gold.

"Everything is about family here. It's a good program, and the academics are crazy good."
"I feel welcomed, but only one thing to say is, let's get this SEC Championship!"

Assuming that's how it works out, that takes us back down to 85.

If we do that, 3 more from the list have to go. I almost put Walters on that list as seemingly the odd man out. But by all accounts he actually had a better fall than Witter and most were surprised that Witter was chosen to play over Walters. Obviously, the staff knows better than us but I didn't put him on the list because he did apparently impress some in the fall.

I was surprised we didn't offer KiAnte Hardin out of Webb City. Watched him play against Rockhurst. Amazing player he is quick, fast, and just has a nose for the ball at CB.

If anyone watched Webb City play in the past two years he is the player that jumps out at you. Minnesota is getting a really good player that is under the radar.

I don't know much about him. I do know Webb City is as good of a program as there is. So if he's standing out among that team, that says something.

Coleman told the coaches he wanted to commit today but was told he had to wait Robinson or Hawkins to decide first. He's ours if we want him.

Martin also announced he's setting up a signing day ceremony at his school were he will sign with Mizzou. Glad we're keeping him.

Glad they kept Martin, too. And Coleman looks to be a heck of a consolation if it comes to that.

Well he didn't say "inside" the school, maybe on the lawn in front of the school.

Your right, I should have said with his coaches. I highly doubt the guy qualifies since his school has closed and he has yet to graduate. Anyone know if you can get eligible with a GED and decent ACT score?
