2012 - Alabama

2011- Alabama

2010- Auburn

2009- Alabama

2008- Florida

2007- LSU

2006- Florida

2005- Texas

2004- USC

2003- LSU

2002- Ohio State

2001- Miami

2000- Oklahoma

1999- Florida State

1998- Tennessee

1997- Michigan

1996- Florida

1995- Nebraska

1994- Nebraska

1993- Florida State

Other than 2001 Miami, all of these uniforms looks pretty damn similar to what they looked like 50 years ago. Coincidence? I don't know. But just based on evidence, there is some sort of correlation between wearing traditional uniforms and national success.

I'm gonna say it has less to do with the uniforms and more to do with traditional programs tend to get the better players consistently enough to win championships.

LSU, despite what many are going to argue, wasn't exactly a traditional program before the 2000s, but they were able to recruit despite making flashy uniforms. I think it's just complete Nike capitalistic bullshite that flashy uniforms gets you better players. It's something they feed programs so they can make money

You do realize the school itself has to either initiate or approve the changes. Under Armor doesn't just surprise Auburn with a box of new uniforms that they are then forced to wear.

No argument from me Bird, if, by "tradition", you mean "Historically Top 10 Programs", of which LSU was barely out of at #12 all-time in wins, and #10 in bowl victories - this"""BEFORE""" the year 2000.

Since 2000, LSU has only increased from #12 before 2000 to currently #11 all-time in # of NCAA wins, and from #10 before 2000 to curretnly #8 all-time in # of bowl appearances.

I would say though, that being #12 in wins before 2000 and #10 in bowls before 2000 qualified LSU as being a "traditional program" BEFORE 2000, being that we started playing in 1893, and had 1 consensus national title and 6 other natties from other polls, rankings, publications, and organizations before 2000 (1908,1935,1936,1961,1962).....

That's kinda what I meant. But way to say I'm not going to make an argument, and then proceed to make an argument

Oh really??

No shite. Sorry for not naming all parties involved, and just naming the uniform designers.

So that you aren't confused:

I hate gene chizik, our entire athletic department, especially Jay Jacobs and the late Tim Jackson, Jay Gouge for hiring Jay Jacobs, making him remotely responsible for Tim Jackson, Under Armor for their shitty design and shitty shoes, and anyone else who was involved in the uniform
Change.

I think that covers it.

My bad
I just really don't get why LSU is perceived as not being a great program before 2000. It makes absolutely no sense. Even in our worst decade - the 1990s (coincidentally) we still were 54-58, and won half of those 54 in a 3 years span (1995-96-97) and three straight bowl games.
Didn't mean it to sound argumentative, just stating facts (#12 in wins and #10 in bowls before 2000.)
