First Congrats to Mr. Bailey and I hope your brother can join you at Missouri or get a scholarship to a good program close to home.

But I hope you are going to be a D Lineman. A big DE would be great.

The reason I hope this is because we now have 5 OL commitments. That probably means we do not have a chance at Bauer, Johnson, or Wallace. And that is UNACCEPTABLE !!!! ONE of those top 3 OL HAS to be a Tiger !!!!

And I hope we give the C, I believe his name is Morrison, a scholarship because the report on him is he can snap the freaking ball in the shotgun !!

It sounds like they're projecting him as a OT. Is it possible that any of our OL recruits could make the conversion if needed?

As long as he is able to help the team, I really don't care where Sam lines up.

However your third paragraph caught my attention and I figured I would pass along this well-done article to you.

To sum everything up, here Bill C's break down from 'Sealing the Borders: Part 2'.

quote:

1. On average, Mizzou is going to offer scholarships to around 13 Missouri kids. If they land them all, that is basically half of a recruiting class.

2. On average, Mizzou is going to land about eight of the 13 Missouri kids they offer. It varies from year to year, of course, but that is the general average.

3. Of the players they don't get, few will make a significant impact elsewhere. In ten years, 19 four-star recruits have left the state. Four have made serious impacts at their chosen schools (Montee Ball, Josh Freeman, Adrian Clayborn, Laurence Maroney). You could stretch that number to perhaps six if you include Nathan Scheelhaase and Trey Millard.

Basically, stuff happens, kids go elsewhere. It usually doesn't come back to bite us very often. So while it looks like we're losing out now, you have to remember a lot changes in four years.

I don't think what that guy's saying really applies here. I think Pinkel and staff would take any and all of those 3 kids given the chance. I am trying to hold off until after the first half of the season to see if the staff can at least get one of these kids to commit.

Those `13 that did not make a great impact are OUR 4 star recruits and should be playing for the home school. I realize some of those players are not originally from Missouri but I have no idea which ones they are. Missouri has no in state competition for these players.

You cannot "seal the borders" by getting 6 or 7 two star and three star recuits. You close the borders by getting the big name recruits. If they do not work out then it is what it is.
