Numerous teammates from Troy tweeting that DL Jeremy Elder died from an apparent heart attack. He was 25.
For those who don't recall, Elder robbed someone on campus in 2008 and was kicked off the team. He was enrolled at Troy most recently, apart of their football program.

He got busted at one of the other schools that he was at between Bama and Troy for dealing.

Dealing =/= using. And I also can't find a record of him dealing drugs. Last article on him was from 2011 saying he'd completely cleaned up, the robbery was thought to be a prank by the judge, and he got permission from his probation officer to make an apology to them

Would've had to have been at Georgia Military Academy. And considering the article i'm reading was written after the transfer and shows no mention, i'm pretty sure you are misremembering
