I want them all, besides Kasey Ford. Nothing against him, but we don't need more than one QB and I don't think he's our guy.

I just watched Damarea Crockett's junior highlights and I was impressed. He seems like a guy that would fit into our offense very well.

Ted Kapita

composite 4*, 0.98 on 247 with offers from Florida, Kansas, and Memphis. Not too shabby.

And just like that, it's a top 25 class.

For those that don't know, Kapita has been injured all year and is done for the year. Hip injury. Played in I believe 2 games. Lot of schools backed off.

Very raw like Kingsley plus missed this whole season basically. Gonna take some work and time.

Expect him to be like Kingsley, won't offer us a whole lot until year two or three. Still def worth a take, just like Moses.

We need to land a JUCO big that can contribute right away still.

Definitely has the size we need down low. Has a nice jumper and plays well with his back to the basket.

If Portis somehow comes back next year MY GOD

Few and far between, most don't offer more than a HS player their first year, then you see the potential the next year and they are gone.

Miles is serviceable, his injury has kept most from seeing the potential this season. Williams returns, as does Kingsley who is getting better at his assignments and role, but isn't fully there yet. Thompson needs to get in better shape to where he can run the floor more/better, he is a very skilled player, but it will be up to his "want too", we need him to want it.

Those four will be able to form a good core for the forward spots.

What we will likely see is a different variation of the "system", one that is more guard oriented on offense, more full court extended defense, more of an urgency to increase the tempo, forwards who have a very defined role in the system.

The easiest, quickest, simplest way to sum it up is by citing the MAY-DAY/ Reid/Bradley/Hood teams, that style vs this style which is closer the 94/95 squads.

Williams has a twin bro, no idea where he ended up.

What's funny is how every one bitched about Clarke being on the court last season, mainly because that meant Kingsley was not, I guess.

Clarke was also one of those "last second reach" people like to talk about with Mike Anderson's recruiting.

also interesting that he commits so soon after all the Mizzou dumpster fire reports and suspensions.

Clarke was a top juco recruit and #1 juco rebounder. Not that big of a reach. He was great here, loved that guy.

Wow that's awesome about Kapita. Totally changes the prospect of being shut out on solid front court help this year that we needed so badly.

As I posted earlier, it only takes a couple of things going your way to make a big difference in basketball. The other one would be Portis deciding to stay one more year.

Ranked 37th in the ESPN.com national rankings, 6-foot-8 2015 power forward Ted Kapita has not played a game this season for Huntington (W.V.) Prep due to a lingering hip injury.

“I have a pinched nerve in my left hip,” Kapita said after his team’s victory over Our Savior New American (N.Y.) at the 2015 Hoophall Classic. “I’m going through a tough time with my leg right now, and not playing is making me kind of mad.”

When asked if he plans on playing this season Kapita was non-committal.

“I don’t know, it depends on how I feel,” he said. “If I’m 100 percent, then yeah.”

Just hope he can get healthy and stay healthy.

Different sport, but I remember a certain RB that had almost the exact same situation his senior year.

Went to the same high school as Kingsley and they are friends. A lot of the reason he chose AR. He is a big man that runs the court very well and likes to play transition basketball.

Wonder what the hip injury is? "Pinched Nerves" in the hip are a rarity.

If he has some weird hip injury that isn't healing, he needs to go see Mark Muller, MD at the Carrell Clinic in Dallas and find out what is going on. He is the team surgeon for the Cowboys and has extensive experience in hip injuries and minimally-invasive surgery to fix them. He operated on mine(impingement and torn labrum) in July.

Hope he gets better
