Why'd you unsticky?

Still a couple forwards to be had in the late signing period...

Was wp20 the one who was leaving us while he figured out the situation between his pregnant wife and his pregnant gf?

Hope y'all are sitting down for this: Petrino signed 6 WRs and 1 linebacker. Never change, Bobby.

nothing would make me happier than watching us crush a petrino team in a big bowl game when he gets his team where he wants them.

if I know one thing about petrino he doesn't like it when the other guy plays big boy football on the 3 linebackers left on his roster by next season.

I think Petrino learned the wrong lessons our 2012 and 2013 seasons, and that those seasons reinforced the some of the wrong-headed views in his approach.

The lesson to be learned was that you can't consistently recruit 'athletes' for the back seven and sign 5 receivers for every one linebacker, but yet he's doing it at Louisville despite the fact they won with defense this year because Strong set that roster up with depth and a tough, defensive mindset. I've said it before, but our Achilles heel on the field in both of those years is that we were paper thin at key positions -- notably on the offensive line and in the back seven -- and that when you're consistently turning to walk-ons and freshmen, that's a depth problem caused by several years of recruiting misfires. There's a reason we were starting two freshmen at LB in 2012 and starting a freshman and a walk-on senior in 2013.

It'll remain to be seen if he continues to take the gambles at Louisville that he did while he was here, but I'm so glad that Bert isn't hinging the future of our program on the hopes that guys like A.J. Turner, Marquel Wade, Austin Flynn, and Anthony Oden will stay out of trouble or guys like Jatashun Beachum (tOriginal Hogville All-American) or Demetrius Dean won't eat themselves out of a scholarship.

I'd argue that AJ Turner and Demetrius Dean would of got a scholarship offer and committed here with Bielema as our coach. Same goes for other SEC caliber instate guys from the past like Darius Winston, Brey Cook, etc.

The only difference being how they were developed and utilized. Would of been interesting to see how they did under Bielema's philosophy and development. I'm willing to bet they would of had a more successful career under Bielema's guidance.

Side note Petrino would of offered and landed most of the instate kids from this year and there's a good chance he would of landed KJ Hill. But petrino would of signed more project wide receivers over defensive players. Which would hurt the overall team in the years to come. Plus they would of been stuck with Petrinos development.

If they even made it to campus and didn't get arrested/rob teammates.

So, is anyone else on here as dense as I am...

I finally got the gist of CBB posting the pic of the K.J's fish house ..

"Something fishy going on with K.J's recruitment..."

I don't disagree, but Dean did make it to the Bielema era and ended up bouncing. I figure a guy like Turner would've suffered the same fate as Korliss Marshall did, but it'd have been interesting to see whether Dean's weight could've been kept in check by Coach Herb.

Yep. I feel like our class is the epitome of a great, non-flashy class. Three stud tight ends, great depth on the OL, a great group of defensive ends, and a solid group of defensive backs, filled a need at receiver, kicker, LB, tailback, and topped off by a 4 star QB. Fantastic.

Dean wouldn't have landed at Arkansas under CBB, remember Petrino signed him TWICE...
