Mississippi State coach Dan Mullen said prized freshman defensive lineman Chris Jones weighed in at 305. "It wasn't a fat 305, either"

I can't say I've ever seen a 305lb DE.

Reggie White says Hello.

Plus Bama has 300lb DEs every year in their 3-4

that's a bit different. 3-4 DEs are basically space eaters.

The thing that had everyone high on Jones at the All-Star events was his "explosive first step". As long as he keeps that he will be a DE.

At 300+ lbs, you would want to run a lot of inside stunts. A dominant player used properly can completely disrupt one side of the line.

I would have him stand up a lot. I would like to remind the QB often that he is coming. The biggest reason for incomplete passes is "happy feet".

Balis will handle it.

If they want him to play DE, he will be the proper weight to play DE.

I say zero

You don't want a 6'7 DT....they need to be shorter for leverage

Let's say he gets down to 280. He is still 20 pounds heavier than Clowney. If CJ can still move at this weight, he could reach his ceiling sooner than expected. This is great!
