He was looking at Arkansas as well, but had not received an offer from them yet. He was offered at LSU camp after a showing that impressed the staff against some of the elite talent there. Posters at the LSURB think that he took Michael Johnson's (current Louisville commit but thought likely to flip to LSU) spot.

limited offers from no-names, shows out at a camp and gets a committable from one of the best teams in the nation. love stories like this. congrats to ramirez.

Had you guys heard anything about him? I saw on 24/7 that he went to Arkansas camp this last weekend. Did he perform well there as well?

I'm with WaveHog. Congrats and hope he does well. Tired of everybody on TexAgs laughing at U of Texas 3 stars this year (I know its from all the years that they laughed at us) but I am damn glad we had Spencer Nealy (2* marginal 3*) on our team last year. Bama (Barrett Jone) probably wasn't as happy about it. Congrats!

i haven't read anything specifically about him. a lot of kids committed to Arkansas over this weekend, so focus has been on that and not specific performances.

If LSU wants this kid, he can play. Their offer is an exponentially better indicator than a Rivals/247 ranking.
