At what age did you take your youngsters to their first game?

I took my two boys to their first AU game last year. One was 12 and the other was 6. They both had a great time and I loved showing them Auburn.

I took my kid at 2.

Then I found out he wasn't mine.

Glad we lost.

I took my kids, who were 9 and 7, to the Arkansas State versus Auburn game in 2006. They had a blast and stayed into it the whole game.

I recommend that you do not take a child younger than 5 to a game.

Most children don't remember anything until age 3-4. You're wasting your money before that.

Sounds like the rant. Posters dont remember anything past 4 years.

I also recommend ear plugs for young kids.

Keeping them hydrated is important for those noon September games.

She was probably 5-6 the first time and will be 8 next week. She's been to 3 Saints games, 2 LSU football, 2 LSU basketball, and 2 Hornets games. She digs the colors and bands and yelling and the jumbotron.

3 & 6 at the time. Wait until they are all potty trained. Trust me...

I gave my son season tickets for his 4th b'day. The fans around us were amazed that he actually knew what was going on.

We had our first son last July. He went to a couple of games last year attached to my wife in one of those front carry things.

We only went for the first half or so mainly because we didn't want to break our streak of games in a row.

FWIW, I wouldn't take him now. Probably wait until he is 3 or so.

I went to my first game in 1992 when I was 5, but the first one I remember going to was actually my 6th when Alabama played NC in the 1993 Gator Bowl.

ETA: Although I do remember staying with my grandparents when my parents went to NO for the 1992 Sugar Bowl.

I took him to his first game when he was 6.

By that time he was starting at the youngest age of youth football and he was interested in what was happening rather than whining about getting more candy or complaining about the heat.

Don't understand why parents want to bring kids to games that have no idea whats going on or that don't want to be there.
