Lacy came off as a passive, even depressed personality in Dunne's piece. He obviously has talent, but there is an extra level of drive that is necessary to succeed in the NFL. The article also recounted how Alabama players would have to practice and play hurt because of the quality of players coming up behind them. This could be an explanation for why so many Crimson Tide prospects have needed surgery after leaving Tuscaloosa.
How does this sound to a potential prospect. I know, what does this have to do with LSU? But we are going head to head with a lot of prospects yearly.

That sometimes you will have to play hurt if you want to win national championships.

know what's a cure-all?? winning…
and they seem to know how to do that with regularity in T-town right now….
think practicing/playing hurt is HURTNG Bama recruiting and/or pushing guys away? check the last couple of recruiting cycles, and get back at me….
think this little shitty piece in a shitty newspaper (which, most teenagers nowadays wouldn't be able to identify if it walked up to them and slapped them in the fricking face) is going to have ANY effect on Bama? really?
like i said, winning is a cure-all….

I haven't seen a single post from a Bama fan in response to the OP. What are you talking about?

You didn't link the article? Who or what is Dunne? Is that the writer? Poor execution.
That said, recruiting with, "yeah you could go there and be chewed up and spit out before you make the NFL" could be helpful, in theory I guess. Who knows.

I got the bit from an article on one of my fantasy football updates. It didn't give a link to the entire article. As far as the other poster saying not one Alabama fan replied. The rant is full of fans from other teams posting as Tiger fans. Some try to hurt our recruiting. But I find it strange that people don't get that playing hurt and needing surgery, hurts these guys draft status. They still get drafted. But some are losing a lot money.
