What does the board think of this one ?
Georgia will already have played Clemson and South Carolina and LSU will be coming in after playing Auburn.
The storyline I'm guessing is Mett going back to Georgia.
Who you gots?

I'm giving Georgia the edge until I see the Cam Cameron offense.

I just have a hard time predicting anything this year until I see how the defense comes together.

I would imagine most LSU fans will say LSU and most UGA fans will say UGA.

To provide some actual fodder for debate..I'm simply not sold enough on Mett right now. I'm not saying he sucks or he can't be outstanding, just from what I've seen as of NOW I'm not quite sold on him. However, that's kind of offset by our retooled defense.

Based on what LSU has lost, our offense being potentially the best in school history, the fact we'll be tested early by CU and SC, and that it's at home..I think I'd give us the slight edge. Ever so slight. Should be a hell of a game either way.

I have a hard time predicting anything until I see how our offense looks this year under Cameron and seeing how Georgia's young defense looks.

But as an LSU fan, I have on the purple glasses and think we have the edge. Based on not much.

That's fair. That's one of the things I'm taking a wait and see approach too. If he can build on his Alabama performance and has developed in the offseason under Cameron, then we might have something going on.

This is key. Although I expect the defense we see in game 1 to be a lot different than in game 4. Teams make so much stride early on, and facing 2 legit teams in the first 2 games will really help them I think.

I fully expect them to take some lumps, and may even look bad at times. But I think by the end of september they should be getting it together.

I would need to see both teams play before I can make a valid prediction. Georgia and LSU have been known to be pretty tricky teams to predict. We do well when not expected and suck when it's our moment.

Anyone with half a brain would say UGA has the edge as of right now. Everyone knows UGA will have a good offense. Nobody really knows how LSU's defense will be after losing so much from last yr. Who knows how the offense responds to Cam as the the o cood.? Way too many question marks with LSU right now.

LSU will run the ball for more yards than Bama did in the SECCG and win rather easily. I really don't understand why LSU thinks this will be a tough game. It wont be.
