Including Vanderbilt linebacker Chase Garnham.

NEW YORK (AP) - Six current college football players were added as plaintiffs Thursday to a high-profile anti-trust lawsuit that claims the NCAA owes billions of dollars to former players for allowing their likenesses to be used without compensation.

The players are: Vanderbilt linebacker Chase Garnham; Clemson cornerback Darius Robinson; linebacker Jake Fischer and kicker Jake Smith from Arizona; and tight end Moses Alipate and wide receiver Victor Keise of Minnesota.

"These athletes are incredibly brave. They are well-aware of the risks of standing up to the NCAA, and yet they felt that this was the right thing to do," Michael Hausfeld, the lead attorney for the plaintiffs, said in a statement.

They probably felt more like it was the thing to get money in their pockets.

if someone was making billions off your work and you didn't see a penny of it, you'd sue too.

What a bunch of assholes...I'm sure they're just mad because they're rated in the 60s when they feel like they deserve at least an 80. BROS...YOU'RE 60s.

Making "billions"? Whos's making billions off these guys.
The NCAA?The schools? Not hardly...only 22 FBS athletic depts made money last year si I'm sure their still looking for those "billions". Licensing from these games account for a very small amount of revenue for the schools and over 50% goes to schools general fund in many cases.

Now, if these guys want to sue the Federal Govt over Title IX I'm all for it...that's where millions are being wasted to support non-revenue sports.

Women's Lib would not be happy Otherwise I'm sure the government would be happy to interfer in the billion dollar revenue of the "non-profit" NCAA

Can somebody tell me why the shouldn't sue besides the fact that you like to play video games?

It seems like a pretty blatant exploitation of somebody's likeness to me.

The "likeness" is property of the school...same as selling a players jersey.

And schools already have licensing agreements in place.

Never even heard of any of these people.

Hell take their asses out of the game, nobody would even know except them.

The last time I played the game, there was no likeness to any player. The only likeness was that they put their correct number on their backs. They have a group of generic heads that all the players look like.

While I don't disagree in principle to what they are suing about, this is a money grab for a bunch of kids who couldn't make it past the college level and are now mad about it.

I believe the players would be considered public figures as well.

These players also get scholarships, training, food, medical, up around to 19k in cash a year, etc... with all the benefits in total, most get around 60-100k a year in benefits and money that non athletes don't get
