LSU: The wheels came off so abruptly I completely missed it

Anyone care to diagnose LSU's demise. One minute they were on top the world, the next minute they're predicted to win 6 or 7 games.
Is this 2013 season an aberration, or is it a sign of things to come?
I've always had a soft spot in my heart for the purple and yellow, here's one TN fan hoping they rebound after this sure-fire debacle.

I don't know...they used to have baseball to hold them up...but now MSU has taken that from them. So I don't really know why they should stick around anymore.
