Interesting read on SEC strength of schedule. Bama's average apparently suffering due to "the fix" on bridge schedule last year. How "lucky" could they be to get similar schedule this year?

* Last year, Alabama and Georgia played the first SEC Championship Game in which both participants avoided the top three teams from the opposite division. The opponents for Alabama and Georgia each had a combined .375 SEC winning percentage, tied for the third-easiest schedules ever by SEC division winners.

This information is pretty much a waste of time. Not well thought out at all.

I never thought a fanbase could get me to sorta pull for bama to win the west if my team can't. I was wrong.

You will find in most years the champion either avoided the toughest from the other division or that team was down. Also, since 1992, UF's opponents have been the weakest. Don't leave out that factoid.

holy crap, guys! He's found new and powerful information that PROVES there is a disparity when it comes to strength of schedule!
We need to all stand up and give him his due.

Not the SEC East's fault that the West sucked for the most part, save for 2 teams since 1992

Let's all just agree to make fun of the LSU whiners. Let's not squabble with UF. At least they aren't crybabies.

from your article, it appears 2011 LSU had one of the easiest in the past 20 years. I guess it pays to be so close to B'Ham

What amazes me is the guy who did this found that the team with the best record has opponents with the worst record and the team with the worst record had opponents with the best record and didn't realize there was a correlation.
