Bama Fans - what was the rant like pre-Saban?

I have been member a long time but only knew about TigerDroppings. As an A&M fan as well I found this place after A&M joined.
Of course Bama has been in Dynasty mode for so long - now I wonder what this place was like before. I can't even imagine it.
Like the untamed West. Pistols were legal and all that.

Wow - didn't know that. I guess a substitute question would be how did Bama fans handle the down years? Im guessing not well.

When I registered in January last year, Secrant was a part of TD.
Which makes it funny when everyone who registered in 2011 and before tries to deflect and say this isn't a LSU site just because an admin said it wasn't one day.

I think he's talking about pre-separation of site. The SECRant existed before TD and SECRant split, as you all know, but it was just apart of TD. He is probably referring to the SECRant when it was still combined.
You'd have to ask Alahunter, but I think the SECRant was created sometime around 2008, a year or so after Nick Saban was hired. Back then, fans of all teams used to post on the Tiger Rant, hence the reason Chicken made the SECRant.

Before this last SEC title Bama had 2 SEC titles since 92. They were a program that thought it was there birthright to be good. That's what Saban had to change when he got there.

SEC RANT has been here at least since 2008. Not much has changed except some of the LSU fans have given up hope.

its the same board it was before the web address changed slightly. back then it was a shitshow between LSU and Auburn instead of LSU and Alabama
