per BOL

Just spoke with former Texas QB Conner Brewer who told me that Alabama has been among the schools to contact him since receiving his release on Tuesday night. Brewer told me that he has legitimate interest in the Crimson Tide. More coming...

Bring him on. I would love to have some extra competition for next year's starting job. We have a lot of QB talent, but it is extremely young. Both Cooper Bateman and David Cornwell will be freshman. I don't like the idea of that with a new LT.

Got beat out by David Ash. Seems about right for a Bama QB

Texas QB's specialize in bounce passes. I can't understand why Bama would want him if he couldn't even beat out Ash.

I love when a player has "interest" in Alabama, LSU, Florida etc... Oh really? You would grace us with your presence? Why thank you.

Well, even though he would have to sit a year... Let's look at next year's (2014) possible quarterback rotation:

Blake Sims, Alec Morris, Parker McLeod, Luke Del-Rio, Cooper Bateman, and David Cornwell... And now the possibility of Alabama getting Connor Brewer. What on Earth makes Nick Saban want to stock-pile so many quarterbacks? Not that I'm complaining, just wondering. I'd rather Alabama stock-pile the quarterback position vs another position, because only one of them can be on the field at once.
